Remember guys, they are heroes (heroines), not mahou shoujo. Therefore tentacles won't be as effective on them.
Jokes aside, are they going to have a beach episode while they suffer from the new disabilities? That's just depressing. Especially if the young one has an accident and forgot that she can't call for help.

I think the things they lose are things that are important to them. If Karin ever uses Mankai and then loses something, I expect it would be something related to her physical fitness or combat capability. Right now, however, I'm pretty sure she hasn't lost anything, because she didn't use Mankai.

I like how they deal with the aftermath of the "big bad" instead of something more cliché. A good episode that was calm despite the sense of impending drama ruling throughout the episode. They threw in all sorts of signals and end the episode on a pretty good note. I like how this series misleads the public.

In RL Japan they do have wheelchair for bath/hot spring and there are also hot spring onsen facilities that could provide service for them

Thank you, I clarified what I wanted to say above. I meant the main theme is disabilities. You may disagree, but for me that is what's omnipresent while I haven't yet seen much or anything that made me think of "courage". Last edited by Fimbulvetr; 2014-11-18 at 12:42. |

Despite that last, courage has been present everywhere, in every episode, an influence on everything these girls have done. It is their courage that has brought them to be who they are and where they are, and it is their courage that the darkness in the series seeks to challenge.

I just caught up on this show... wow slow burn, but I'm glad I gave it a shot.
There's a real love of typical boy's action, heroic, nationalistic, and military themes and subjects hiding behind that fluffy pastel facade. It's a hardboiled war drama dressed in pink lace. I'm fascinated by the terrific costumes, action coreography, and monster designs. I liked what Madoka did in the monster department, but these work better for me - some of the nicest I've seen since Evangelion. The pacing is tourtureusly slow for my taste. I would have chalked it up to filler, but one of the early episodes that was driving me mad with impatiance actually ran into the end credits so it seems quite intentional. Lots of good misdirection. I was uncertain about Togo, totally suckered in by Karin's death flag, and didn't expect the main wave of Vertex (Vertecies?) to be over by now. Quite hooked! I think the show's in good hands, and I can't imgine being dissapointed unless they go with an "all is healed all is better ending" (given the destroyed city in the OP I tend to doubt that). Quote:
Despite all that, there's still something that's eluding me... somehow it doesn't feel like a show I'll immediately remember two to three years from now, but it has been exceeding expectations so far so here's hoping!
