Decided that since I kind of punished ep 24 for all the minor accumulated ills of the series that I'd give this ep ep the benefit of the doubt and go ahead and round up to a "10".

We'll have an overall series rating thread later.... where we can look at the series as a whole piece.

And the series has ended. I don't know what I'll replace it with. The next season of anime doesn't seem to have the same sort of thing that can act as a transition to this.

Eden of the East. I don't think you'll go wrong with Kenji Kamiyama AND Umino Chika tag-teaming in one anime.

Great ending to a great anime!

I didn't expect such a good ending to be honest, so I'm happy that J.C. Staff decided to surprise me.

They wrapped everything up nicely and they did it in a great way. Definitely one of J.C. Staff's best works in my opinion, maybe even the best.

I wonder if now we'll see complaints from the same people that thought they were moving too fast that now, they progressed too slowly at the end given the long period of separation.

Just watched the raw, loved it.

I'll wait for the subs to come out before I vote, even then I'll wait a bit.

Curious though, where did Taiga end up going to? (Had a feeling it was out of the country)

I really oughta have waited till tomorrow to watch this since I've had a ringing headache all day and I have to really concentrate to watch a raw... but I think I would have died from suspense, so... :P

I think he meant that the quality reaked in quality, as in, the quality was great. Which I agree, total grade A to me.

yea, but right after that it says minor nitpick.

the animation during the kissu scene was over the top. Taiga even stands on her tip toes. duwa i love it!

I think the kissing scene was probably the best drawn segment of the entire episode, or among them atleast. I just... couldn't keep my mouth closed during that scene lol.

Peanutbutter Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007	Spoiler: After watching the raw till the end, my heart had this sunken feeling. I guess it's the sadness that this series has ended. Even without subs, I'm kinda surprised how strong this feeling is. The kiss scene was absolutely, definitely very well-done. I couldn't stop myself from smiling throughout. The "one more, one more, one more..." was so sweet... The second photo is finally revealed. I thought that it ought to have been the one where both of them were standing on the ladder, Ryuuji above and Taiga below but it turned out to be one of the couple in the backstage. Oh well. Though I was rather shocked and surprised when Taiga came back only when they graduated in their third year. One whole year. Oh dear. And this spoils any possibility of even a short epilogue on their third year. (And wasn't Ryuuji supposed to be the top student, instead, Kitamura went up the stage. Was he the valedictorian or top student?) Taiga hiding in the cupboard was lol, well, it was somewhat how they began to knew each other, so it was rather fitting as the ending scene. And the series has ended. I don't know what I'll replace it with. Spoiler for episode spoilers: 1. They wrapped up the family problems of the Takasu family quite nicely. It happened quite fast, but it didn't feel rushed for some reason. 2. The Ryuuji x Taiga scenes felt really emotional and natural. They definitely belong together. The kissing scene was just perfect....so emotional...one of the best kissing scenes ever! 3. I love how they showed that the second picture (the one behind the one of Taiga and Kitamura) was indeed one of Ryuuji and Taiga together. So she was falling for him even way back then. 4. Inko-chan good end! (he was able to say his name XD) 10/10 for sure! __________________

Kiss scene = d'awwwww... ^w^ warm and fuzzies. I loved Minori's little speech on Taiga's cell phone picture... nicely tied together two of the motifs in the series, stars and "things that can be seen." Oh speaking of which, I also loved the framing with the speech at the beginning of the first episode! Put such a smile on my face. Oh and Inko-chan! I burst out laughing so hard when he finally said his name! Aww, Inko, I don't really hate your disgusting ugly face... er... uh... well okay but I'm happy for you anyway! So sad that Taiga was gone for so long... though I'm sure they kept in touch and I hope they could have met a few times between. Although it's kinda nice they left that open, you know? Maybe they met, maybe they didn't... but all that time they were still in love with each other, and that's what counts. Heh, and even Noto and Kihara weren't left out! Well, granted, it's only kinda sorta implied... but, all loose ends tied up. Life goes on. And... I really dunno what else to say. I really need to watch this again after dinner. Maybe twice. Or three times. But an amazing end to an amazing series. __________________
