Come on now... Rolo's not gay. He's just psychotically possessive of the only friend/family member he's ever had. V.V. on the other hand said something along the lines of having liked Lelouche because he looked like Charles. Now that could perhaps be seen as gay. Rolo though is just nutty, not flitty.

He'd have no reason to kill Lelouche besides personal revenge, which I doubt he'd do. He'd suddenly not only have absolutely no one, he'd have to live for and think completely for himself. I'm not sure he could handle that. He'd probably commit suicide.

I'm not sure what Suzaku wants to accomplish by giving Kallen Refrain. Even if she relives some "Lelouch is Zero" moment, wouldn't it be hard to figure out if she's looking back at when Suzaku revealed that Zero is Lelouch BEFORE Lelouch's memory-wipe? I guess maybe to find out if she's been in contact with Lelouch since then? Hmm...

Also, I'm not sure if this should be in this thread, so I'll put this as a "possible spoiler..."

Spoiler for Possible Spoiler, but it's simply a speculation:

It's possible that Kallen dies. The reason I say this is because I don't see her in the ending credits. Any thoughts on this?

This episode was amazing. Continuing on the way things are going, this series definitely won't need a third season nor will the plot be sidetracked again. Where do I start?

Lelouch demolishing the Geass Cult starts it off of course. Notice the similarities of his methods? I sure do. Necessary or not, it is eerily similar to Clovis' actions. I have a feeling this is something Charles wanted in the first place. He does seem to be molding Lelouch into another one like him. Lelouch's actions at the Geass Cult are proof of that as well as Charles seemingly annoyed at V.V. for trying to kill Lelouch without his permission.

Rolo freely admits that he did it (finally ending all those bogus theories once and for all.) He still seems to be unstable, but now I wonder if he will stay with Lelouch or betray him. Or whether Lelouch will end up killing him or not. We now know the true weakness of his Geass too. His heart stops when he uses his Geass. So if it does go out of control, he will be dead for sure.

V.V. is also a shit pilot as we saw. Compared to Jeremiah in the Siegfried, V.V. is pathetic and a waste at piloting. Speaking of V.V., what is he planning? He seems to go over Charles' head and acts on his own. He also seems to despise Marianne, and now I wonder if he was the one behind the assassination and went over Charles' head there too (not the place for this speculation though.) V.V. is a very mysterious character. Even more so than C.C.

C.C. is still working for Lelouch, and Lelouch doesn't seem to despise her and is willingly working towards destroying the Cult, though reluctantly it seems. Still going to be interesting what happens with ehr.

Suzaku... well, he is a lot darker than he was last season, but I really don't blame him for his methods. He is no longer a hypocrite and is willing to do what must be done. He has been hurt enough already and is not willing to stop Lelouch (who he thinks is the guilty party) no matter what. But remember, he gave Kallen a chance to talk, and since she wont, he will do what he has to in order for him to do his job and prevent another disaster. I don;t agree with his choice here, but I can see why he is doing it. (So ease up on the bashing.)

Cornelia is just... awesome as ever. She kicks ass like there is no tomorrow. It was very well done how her and Lelouch worked together to demolish V.V.'s Seigfried. Well done. Shame what happened to Bartley though. I didn't see THAT coming at all. <.<

Also, can someone say Deithard taking down both Ougi and Villetta? I can. Or possibly he will have Sayoko do it. Either way, things are looking bad for them...

Overall, excellent episode. I am pissed that I have to wait a whole nother week just to see what happens next!

Well this is a guy who will kill at the drop of a hat so I doubt Lelouch is any safer. If Rollo feels Lelouch is going to abandon him or has lied to him, do believe he will kill Lelouch. If the mention of Nunnally and threatening that bond with his brother will make him kill, betrayal of trust would certainly do it.

Lack of presence in the ED means nothing, Shirley's in it and she's already dead.

Well, Shirley DID die and she WAS in the ending credits.

Anyway, this was a good episode as far as plot progression, but also it seemed that everyone was a douchebag in this episode, making it very hard for me to like anyone.

-Lelouch's Light Yagami side is really coming out seeing as how he was crying his eyes out and then not a few minutes later wearing a smug grin to keep up appearances. Also, he gets his aggressions out by slaughtering a bunch of cultists (granted they weren't exactly defenseless.
-Suzaku lies in order to manipulate Kallen and then tries to use refrain on her. An all-time low.
-Rolo very calmly and matter-of-factly admits to killing Shirley. No remorse. I'll never forgive him for killing Shirley.

Cornelia's the only one I liked in this episode for owning some V.V. ass.

Well, I still need to watch the whole sub of the episode.

It's still a lie. It's just that from his POV, it's not. It's his speculation. But to us, it's a lie. Because we know it's not true.

Finished the episode six past midnight. I had to watch it before sleeping, it was THAT good.
The episode felt like only 10 minutes, it was THAT good.
I couldn't sleep for the next 2 hours because countless ideas, possibilities and replays kept flying through my head, it was THAT good.

I have to disagree with that point. Suzaku gave her a chance to tell him what he wanted to hear. Since she didn't give him the answer he was looking for, he now has pulled out the refrain. If he's so sure he's right, then he should leave Kallen alone. And really, if he's so sure she's lying then he shouldn't have even asked in the first place. This sort of thing is just one of the reasons why torture/coersion doesn't work.

That being said, I'm thinking that perhaps Suzaku has no intention of really using refrain on her. Maybe his real intention is to turn her against Zero? While that would be rather underhanded, I personally could maintain some respect for him, which I won't be able to should things follow through the way it looks like on the surface.
