Raki IS a walking plothole in Claymore. Then again, so is Priscilla...

As for the supposed hideous thing on a Claymore's chest that supposedly revolts men, I'm one of those people who say, the more a Claymore comes close to awakening, the less visible that particular 'whatever' becomes. So our Fab 4 shouldn't have much of anything there and that convienently accounts for Jean after she reverted as well.

Since Miria was revealed to have come back, I took up reading Claymore again but nothing really stood out to me so I haven't commented on the last 5 or so chapters. Only now that the fight's over can I read it through in one go and look at it carefully. But I must say, I really REALLY wanted to see Clare and Miria taking on someone together. They are the strongest of the seven so naturally, I wanted to see how the top two would have fought, especially against the Wunder Twins and MindRaep. But...I digress.

Seems that Miria is going to grill Deneve about Clare's whereabouts and Raki is going to take off to head down to where Clare is. Unless for some reason Miria says no, which I doubt she'll do.

Deneve will tell Raki & Miria the truth about Clare and what happen in the west, then Raki story will roughly be the same. But Raki won't run off immediately he'll be to slow and take days to get there, hitch a ride with the girls and get there faster.

Just to clarify, I'm not implying Dauf succeeded within the chapter... Far from it.
That was simply their first meeting.

But in the long run he managed to win Riful, so the story carries a "where there's a will, there's a way" kind of vibe.

That new extra scene in claymore sure was surprising. It needs to be translated asap.

On a different topic from the previous chapter, phantom Priscilla hit Miria with some sort of electric shockwave. Does that mean she'll overtake Miria's body as well later just like how Priscilla overtook the body of the dying abyssal?

well, i never found him annoying. i always felt that his character was clare's parallel when she was still with teresa. i found the kid to be quite cute. i find his relationship with clare to be interesting, although i never saw it as the mother and child relationship that clare had with teresa. maybe at some point i thought they shared a sibling-type of relationship but when raki grew up to be quite a handsome fellow, i was certain it would turn romantic.

This is the last chapter of the series. Gene is the mod at a Chinese scan site (that can't be named here due to forum rules), so this is likely not a sick joke.

There is hope that we may at least get a few more extra chapters or a series 2 since unless we get an unusually large last volume (22), volume 23 has 150+ pages left to fill... here is to hoping.
