Talking The "Northern Exposure" of Anime?

Yo! [Ooh a nooB to the boards, so yeah, hi]

I've just finished watching Azumanga Daioh, and one thing that I *really* liked about the series - apart from the humor, naturally - was the ability for me to just queue up all the episodes and leave them playing in the background. I could dip in and out of episodes as I was going about my day and would still get a laugh.

I mention Northern Exposure, because I used leave that show on all the time too - are there any other anime series out there that are similar? Rather lighthearted, not too dour nor depressing, but with a pinch of zaniness? Perferrably without a female lead that worries about her bento box making skills

Ta!

hmmm, if you loked azumanga daioh, then you will definitely like school rumble, its basically like azumanga daioh, except that it just takes itself a tad bit more serious with character development

Girls bravo is wat you are looking for. If you are underage then watch the censored version. Don't worry it's not hentai. Close but no dice
