Can someone answer me the question of why Kitaooji likes Manaka? I am at chapter 91, but the only thing I can come up with is that he doesn't pay enough attention to her and that makes her compete for his affection.

Both of them shares the same interests in shows and such things as I recall. They spent a lot of time together back when Manaka broke his finger. And she feels happy and natural when she's with Manaka.

Bsides, is there really an explaination for the Manaka 'charm'.

I thought that Manaka was sprewing charm when he asked that first girl out. I think that every girl likes him for different reasons, but I still think that Kitaooji is a bit too extreme in her feelings. They are sort of out of proportion with what has happened between them and that he has admitted to her that he has three girls on his mind. But, this may be explained by her determination to get what she wants.

Actually, to really understand a series, I have to go to topics like this and re-read some of the chapters. I like the series, and think it is not so extreme as other love/comedies. I would say the most distracting component for me in this manga is that well, the names, and secondary female characters that well, do impact Manaka's relationship with the main three girls he likes, but aren't so great in and of themselves.

I would say there's only two serious contenders for Manaka's heart -> Tsukasa and Aya. Almost every Tsukasa-Manaka date/event/moment together has brought them closer together since their break-up. Personally, I like Tsukasa as she's honest and direct, though much less agressive than Kitaooji.

As for Aya, she is the one who started out with Manaka on his grand dream to become a film maker. She's definitely someone special to him. The trend probably states that Aya would be the girl that hooks up with Manaka, but I guess the mangaka is milking it for all its worth now...

Aya is almost Miss Perfect in the stereotypical Japanese otaku sense.

She's not very good at being honest emotionally, but I think that's part of that stereotype too...

The rest of the girls, I don't think they have a chance really if you go by this using logic

. Perhaps if we see a change in Kitaooji's behavior - she was just too agressive and was much more likeable before declaring her undying affection for Manaka.

As for Manaka himself, I agree he's nothing special - except somehow, he manages to charm most of the pretty girls in his life. But then again, that's another cliche of the harem genre I guess.

i hope the mangaka releases 2 alternate endings so she can milk the series for all its worth and everyone can be happy.

But Im really only saying this cos i want him to end up with tsukasa but no matter how you look at it it will be aya. ..

ichigo started out as one of my recent favorite manga... but it's like chapter 136 already... and the story still drags on and on and on.... god damn it, he is about to grad from high school and he still hasnt the courage to kiss the girls he like....
and everytime a girl confess or some dramatic thing happen, the author just make it sounds like a joke in the next chapter and things just continue on as if nothing happened.......
it about time manaka make some dramatic moves instead of his usual stupid stunned-horny-smile reaction...

For english, Yanime + whichever group has only released up to chapt 92. For anything later than that you will either have to know Japanese, Chinese or Korean.

Spoiler: Everyone thinks Aya was acting and even our resident Miss Perfect quickly moves to cover up what really made her delivery of those lines so perfect. Of course, readers wouldn't be decieved at all... Junpei is rather perturbed though by the whole thing and spends most of his time mulling over what Aya said over the last few chapters (including Aya's confession). He still hasn't decided what to do though. After all, Aya's academic results are far better than Junpei's and she already said the two of them might be heading towards different paths. There's another hot spring scene (more fanservice!). Junpei returns home, where Yui greets him and the two of them find Tsukasa in his room! I personally think Aya is very dishonest with herself. She might be able to decieve everyone, but is it worth being so miserable? SIGH

(Apparently, Yui admires both Tsukasa and Aya..) So while they are talking, Tsukasa places her iced drink against Manaka's cheek and he overreacts, accidentally spills the iced drink on her. She needs a change of clothes and Manaka offers his T-shirt and jumpsuit trousers. She puts them on (pay attention, this is important) and proceeds to make Manaka even more uncomfortable. (She cuddles even closer to Manaka since the path of the air movement generated by the fan is closer to him... good excuse girl. ) Then Kitaooji drops by! Ha ha. She wants to Manaka to take her out before she starts working on her summer job... She's not happy that Tsukasa is around, even more unhappy to find Tsukasa in Manaka's clothes. Then Aya drops by. Ooooh... Then Yui makes the suggestion that all 5 of them go out and have a fun time. Yeah, fun for all of them, definitely not for Manaka. That's about it. Personally, I find Manaka's high level of discomfort around Tsukasa to be contradictory when they were so comfortable together on their date earlier in the previous chapters..

The girls each have their own choice to what they want to do. 1) Kitaooji wins the right to go first. She decides to get everyone to play hide and seek. Aya slips and falls (I think she twisted her ankle, but not too sure). Junpei becomes the seeker 3 times in a roll. 2) Aya is second. She just decides to sit down and watch the birds go by. Junpei thinks this is much better than being the seeker in a hide and seek game he can't win. 3) Tsukasa is third. She wants to go boating. Aya can't go since her ankle is twisted. Kitaooji is furious Tsukasa gets to go with Junpei. She takes out a water cycle in the shape of a duck and accidently causes a fracas by knocking into the rowboat Tsukasa & Junpei is in, which in turn causes Tsukasa to grip onto Junpei in a .... exciting fashion. Yui saves the day by taking her own duck boat and knocks Kitaooji's clear. 4) Yui chooses a 100 meter long.. slide?!? Junpei goes first, slows down since he thinks its going too fast and its dangerous. Kitaooji is second and she knocks straight into Junpei but the blow is cushioned by her ... impressive assets. She whines why did Junpei stop and tells him to go behind her but before Junpei can do it, Aya comes sliding and knocks into them, resulting in a ... suffocating situation for Junpei. Tsukasa is close behind and Yui soon reaches them.... POW! The 4 of them derail and... well, its funny if the slide weren't more than say, several meters tall. Junpei tries to be noble in trying to cushion the fall, but ending up cushioning 4 persons .... well... :heh; Poor guy. I take this as a good take on the real life situation he is in right now. If he can't decide who he is going to be with soon, he will probably end up with no one ...
