I appreciate the sentiment and respect those who can do it but just thinking about it makes me nauseous. Just drawing blood for a regular checkup is enough to almost knock me out for a few minutes so I sadly can't really help out there.

Understood, and its a real issue.

Personally, even when I get a shot, donate blood, whatever, I have to look away from the needle going in. However, once its in I can watch the blood come out no problem. Wierd, I know.

Official means the work is officially authorized as opposed to, say, a FanFic. Canon means that it is actually ground truth as far as the story is concerned. You need to be official to be canon, but the reverse is not true.

In this particular case, the Motto Love Love Dai Sakusen is declared as a "spinoff", which means it is not necessarily tied to the main work even from the start.

Another way is for a work to be of undeclared status, but to have so many gross continuity errors with a source of higher canonicity it hardly matters if it has been declared canon or not - it is simply contradicted and neutralized to the point none of it is useful. This is the case with the manga GuP.

Same thing for me. I usually make a point of not looking at the needle, which is why I usually lug around an iPad or something along.

I make funny voices & noises while staring at the needle going into my arm.

A nurse laughed so hard one time, she threw the needle in her hand with a backhand swing on accident and had to stop to warn me before inserting a new needle again. Yes, I made an oh-$h!t moment and rendered the situation quite dangerous.

Well technically they already were in, considering that Mitsubishi manufactures most of the JSDF's equipment and vehicles, including the Type 10 MBT.
