Romance in Gundam AGE

Hmm, so looking back at what I wrote, apparently them making Asem and Romary's relationship that bad was more of lack of clarification/time than an actual attempt to delay their marriage ... which I suppose means the two held off on having any children for at least 10 years before Kio. Now that I think about it that makes a lot of sense. Asem was starting as a special Ops. captain, so maybe he was worried that having a kid at point would distract him from his duty, plus Romary might not have wanted to have a child that early in her life (a sign of the generation difference? Flit and Emily had two kids when they were very young at 21~22, while Asem and Yuno decided to hold off for a decade after their marriage and the other didn't get married at all) which makes sense, some couples don't start having children after the wedding is done ... also fits more with how the war had been raging on more violently after Flit's move to remove the PM, so the climate might have not been that ideal to bring a child into that sort of time.

Considering that women/girls don't get a lot of limelight in AGE, I doubt she would become the key to dispelling Flit's hatred for the Vagans.

I think she might have more relevant role in this gen, if the new ED is anything to go by, but even then yeah, women in this show don't really get much time to shine. I just hope they actually get around to using Aya Endo, since I'm starting to seriously get depressed at how much AGE passes on using it's VA talents to their fullest

Since this show's about how three generations make destiny, perhaps Kio can pull some weight on his granddad. Imagine a scene where Flit sees his grandson suffer because of his own single-minded, vengence-bent actions. Maybe this would help him realise first-hand the ironic truth behind the world of war and carnage that he, as commander of EFF, help to bring about, and soften him a bit.

At the end of the day, I want Flit to die. I want to see him pay for his deeds. Like maybe he takes the killer shot on behalf of his grandson, then before he dies he finally remembers what he was supposed to do all this while, protect his loved ones.

I do think Flit will learn to be more tolerant of Vagan, but he will never forget what happened to him. I do hope that we get to see Emily take that role.

Arisa's scenes were cuter, that for a moment I entertained the thought that Uttobit Gunhale, the almost blonde Dique's grandson, was the result of Asem "returning" Arisa's buttslaps and Kio's half-brother.

Anyway, I like the idea of a Gundam Age game in the spirit of (perhaps) Gihren's Greed with a touch of "Code Geass - Lost Colors" in it... . Then again, that may be unlikely to happen with Gundam Age, alas...

I doubt that Sunrise will make the same mistake again.....

And my guess is for a love triangle you will have to wait for another Gundam show because Age is not the type of show where that kind of love fit, the Asemu thing wasn't even a love triangle but more love confusion.

Love in Age is done really well, in every single Gundam show love has been the worst develop plot. The potential love interest either died, they didn't exist or they never develop further then holding hands (looking at Wing and Kira X Lacus). This is the first time we get to see the children and get a glimpse on what kind of live they have together, it is limited but acceptable for a Gundam show.

Also still waiting for pinked haired Kira's to visits Uncle Athrun, to bad the Seed movie never went further then announcement.
