The only thing I find suspicious is how similar this ending was with the one showed from "Reversi": double-spread, kinda abrupt...and a text saying the same thing on both mangas...
But it was officialy said that this would be the final chapter...to bad.

The spread itself was rather ho-hum too. Not really too impactful like they had intended their Reversi end page to be. Still, the art was phenomenal and I felt a lot more satisified than the Negima ending.

We can only hope that by the time the anime reaches the ending it will deliver the two things that we, the fans, were wanting: Miho and Mashiro's wedding in full view, and the sales of Reversi's last volumes surpassing those of Zombie * Gun, hence, for the duo finally beating Eiji at long last.

I'm aware there's an anime thread here for it, but since manga readers would probably better know the answer to this question - does the anime add in extra story material of its own, or is it a direct adaptation? Just wondering if there's hope for something extra in the anime's ending.

I’ve found that I need to watch the anime as well. I’ve dropped it in the middle of the first season, but now, seems, the anime could show some great ending! I hope it’s worth to watch.

Well, that chapter was certainly a sweet moment for Azuki and Mashiro, but otherwise it was wholly inadequate and disappointing. For god's sake, the second main character didn't even make one appearance, let alone any of the other mangaka.

Agreed, he didn't get to do anything in the last couple chapters at all, except loan Mashiro the money for the car. Kaya stole the spotlight.

I'd hate to necro a thread a year old, but this needs to be said.

Anyone disappointed with the manga's ending, I strongly urge you to watch the final episode of the anime.

It gives you the closure we all desperately wanted.

You beat me to it, everyone should just watch the last episode.

Also the anime cut out the 2nd Nanamine arc and for that I'm grateful.

Also they turned reversi into even more of a death note clone than it was in the manga.

Thanks for the heads-up. Seeing Hiramaru get married and have Aoki call him "Kazu-tan" made my day.

But will he be able to write manga when he's so happy?
