Marriage Prospects - Chie Hallard
CHIE HALLARD
Looks: In contrast to nearly the entire Otome cast, Ms Hallard does not strike one as being ‘beautiful’ or ‘cute’ but rather being ‘handsome’ in a feminine manner. Many people might mistake her for being male if seen from a distance at certain angles and in certain clothing but make no mistake – Chie is all female. The boyish style cut to her hair, her sharp yet pleasing facial expressions, and her ever present smirk-like smile is very becoming on her, making her look desirable to either gender. Her rather deep feminine voice has an alluring, debonair quality to it which has swooned many an unsuspecting Coral with its pleasing tones in their little ears. All in all, Chie probably won’t win beauty pageants but you won’t forget about her either.  Personality: Chie’s personality is a delightful mix of rambunctious, playful yet sincere, easygoing and quick to forgive-and-forget honest mistakes. No doubt her easygoing, non-serious manner in which she carries herself through most of the day at Garderobe is the cornerstone of her boyish personality. Blue rose in hand, she has quite a flirtatious side to her as seen when she swept Arika off her feet in episode 2. With her charming wit and suave, ‘manly’, mannerisms, it is easy to see how even though she is the #2 Pearl, she was rated as the most popular one, outscoring even the kind and endearing #1 Pearl Akane amongst their Coral underclassmen (Drama CD). She also has quite the cutting humor that makes many of her younger Coral underclassmen (and no doubt a few of her Pearl classmates like Shiho) blush at her audacity. It's not to say that she lacks common decency but rather she doesn't go for propriety all the time, especially in non-formal settings. She can switch quickly back and forth between the two. Intelligence: As the 2nd ranked Pearl, member of the Trias, and already a ranked lieutenant in Ealis’s standing army, Ms Hallard is not someone to be taken lightly. Her playful attitude covers up the fact that she also possesses sharp eyes and a keen mind. She won’t undermine authority higher than her own due to her military training, but when put into the position to do something; she’ll take action immediately as when she became the #1 Pearl after Akane left. Her uncovering of the truth of the malicious acts against Arika (with Nao’s indirect help) and her very risky venture to act as a spy for President Yukino and Ealis all support that she has good leadership skills, a rather decisive ‘hands-on’ approach, as well as good situational judgment. Whether in a fancy ballroom, a board meeting, or at a Denny’s diner, you can count on her to make the right call. On a downside, her forgiving nature will play a large part in judgment calls that deal with people directly as they tend to drift to the ‘hope for the best’ as with the case of Tomoe, her assigned Coral Room Attendant. Economics: Supported by the Ealis government, she doesn’t have to worry about expenses at all since they are all subsidized (thank you taxpayers ). This has to be the reason that she can afford all those roses and her various clothing articles which range from being very feminine to masculine outerwear. She’s not a frugal spender by any means (just check her closets) so making a decent amount of money will be a definite plus but she’s more than likely to supplement any income you make with her own – she’s definitely not the ‘stay home’ type of girl.  Competition: Putting aside all the young Coral girls that she flirts with on a daily basis, the only real competition for Chie’s heart will be her long-standing friendship with Aoi. The two have been through a lot and are obviously best friends (maybe more) so a few compromises will have to be made in order to accommodate them spending time with each other but nothing waaay~ out of the ordinary should be expected. One must remember that they were friends long before you were around so naturally you will not be the first choice all the time. Expect teasing from them when they are together. Chie will probably even flirt with Aoi just to see how you’ll react. If you pass the first couple of initial tests, you are only that much closer. Chie mostly likely has a masculine-tinted outlook on her independence so her ‘space’ and her time with her friends should not be violated obsessively or the door of romance will close on you very quickly. Remember not to nag her about Aoi (other things are okay) and things will work out.Warrior Skills: Again, her standing as #2 Pearl hints at her obvious battle skill, which may very well be equal to that of Akane’s. When in the Valkryie Robe, she bested Haruka Armitage in the opening exchange between them but even then, her aggression level was most likely being boosted by the Robe itself. Combat-wise, Chie strikes one as being almost tactical, relying more on skill than strength for a battle. Her quick mind also comes into play as she can quickly change to allow for circumstances as they happen. There’s also the matter of her ‘Wrestling’ skills that she learned while in Garderobe but that may be more appropriate for a different section.  In a few words – You’ll do the thugs a favor by telling them to leave her alone. Or you can be mean and let them assume that she’s a guy and leave the ass-kicking to her.  Housekeeping Skills: Being relaxed and easy-going doesn’t mean that she wants a dirty house. Look to being the one taking care of the house since she’ll be away a lot of the time due to her promising military career/Otome-ship but if and when she retires from that, she’ll gladly share the load of keeping the house with you. She’s a ‘hands on’ person herself anyway so if you can’t cook, admit it and let her take care of it - be it whipping up something quick ‘survival style’ or just eating out. You’ll be doing the laundry though.  Sex: Chie knows how to do it and how to have fun doing it too. Bright mind like hers can also come up with several ‘creative’ ways of going about it as well, but as long as she knows your ‘comfort zone’, she won’t stray into the more questionable methods. She might be the one to initiate ‘first contact’ but that does mean she wants to be first all the time; be assertive as well – she doesn’t mind being on bottom if she still gets what she wants. XP She’ll definitely be a lively partner in bed due to her physical activity level. Don’t be surprised if she wants to ‘wrestle’ with you suddenly. Just take it as ‘foreplay’ and the rest should be relatively easy, if not very strenuous. b Learn her tendencies as she’ll undoubtedly do the same with you, if not quicker since she is a flirt at heart. Give as good as you get and your bedroom will be a very happy place for years to come.  Being and keeping romantically creative is a must as well. Mixing up things (subtly to brashness) to keep things at least simmering is a good idea for a long and healthy sex life. Mother Material: A playful mother who cares a lot for her child/ren who will also play the ‘long arm of the law’ if necessary (her ‘masculine’ femininity at work again). She’ll also expect you to help out with the child rearing as well but that should come as no surprise. Expect to hear about ‘new words that Momma said’ when you come home thought as Chie’s colorful personality will definitely take the lion’s share of the genes in your children. XD Overall: Possibly one of the most perfect possible matches for a lifelong partner in Otome, Chie scores a near perfect 10 on my meter. With few flaws among her many delightful qualities, a playful personality with the heart of a child but the mind of a well-adjusted adult (if not for some strange ideas on occasion), relatively few can or will disagree that Chie Hallard will make a perfect and very lively companion on the road of life.

I just was seeing if anyone came up with some Marriage Prospects for Otome characters. I know someone would be perfect for posting an Irina one along with seeing how scary a Nagi, Tomoe, Nina, or Erstin one could get.

Erstin Ho Current Status: Well this is the hardest part, being green sparklied will make it difficult to have a relationship. Not even a corpse if you are in to necrophilia. Though if you can make her come back with some magic plot device then you're halfway to your goal. Looks: An appearace at first looking chibi-cute in a way. With apparences like Mai in having a short cut hair and two obvious similarities in having a chest that makes her classmates, upperclassmen, and likely a certain principal who could be envious. And from Arika's investigation they do bounce. Personality: Also like Mai in being vary caring towards others. Seems to have at times a lack of confidence in herself and some hints of some possible mental disorders most likely depression, though likely due to family life. Will at times want to glomp anyone in sight and gets very huggy with people. Also has pent-up inhibitions. Intelligence: From what is shown, she only got as far as she has as an otome on her intelligence alone. She is the source of all the books Irina has and seems to know a bit in aspects of technology as well. Likely among the smartest amongst the cast. Economics: Likely able to lead a comfortable life with using her own intelligence to make a living. Otome's don't get much in money though so if she has to retire *because you're a male for example*, you won't be in slums either. Competition: Well it's not so much others competing for her, it's her trying to win the love of anyone else. She has a strong crush on her roommate Nina, but it seems to be completely one sided since Nina doesn't agknowledge Erstin's feelings as well as her having her daddy issues. There is also some evidence she might be developing feeling for Arika as well. For as asexual Arika tends to be, she has a strange fascination with Erstin's chest so make that as you will. She also in an encounter with some ero-pollen had some fun with her oneesama Akane. Sure Akane is with someone but knowing Kazu he might let Ers share Akane if he gets to watch. Actully, she is known to show affection towards anyone at school, this could be due to not getting much love from her own family. Also of note we have only seen her act this way towards other females so it might be harder if you're a guy to win her affection.In-Laws: Considering the way the plot wound up and with her green-sparkliedness, we can guess that it's likely her parents are some real jerks. What parents would do that to their own child. If you can get her back to life, consider her parents to be ignored since it's their fault for causing her to suffer and likely a source of many of her issues. Warrior Skills: From what we have seen rather weak compared to others in her class. Though who would want to harm her anyway? Her skill is likely to be able to have other people fight for her. Although she might be the type where if she is ever angered, she can be scary enough to make Nagi soil himself. Housekeeping Skills: It is mentioned that she is a good cook. Though coming from Arika that isn't saying much considering her skills. But does seem to be responsible for making sure their room isn't mess. Likely another similarity to Mai in being good in these skills. Sex: Three words to quote Arika "puri puri puri". Just seems to be rather bouncy in nature. It's something that would be easier on her if you're female yourself since from her incident she has skills that would make Shizuru proud since Chie had to use some "special moves" on her to take command. It might be an encounter that lasts all night and you will be too worn out the next day. Mother Material: Her caring and gentle nature makes it seem a natural in being able to be a good mother. She really doesn't seem to want to be an otome so the nanomachine issue isn't important. Her gentle nature could be a problem in needing to apply any discipline in any unruly children so you might have to be responsible for that. Overall: If you can somehow manage to bring her back, though you likely will get help from her friends. She would be someone who can be an excellent partner and loving mother where you'd be the envy of your friends both male and female. Also she is definately someone you'd feel comfortable taking home to see your parents since they would love her. Just don't make her cry or else your life is in danger since her friends can hurt you bad. |

Manshiro (Or whatever he is calling himself now, the bugger only gave his real name to the late Yuuichi Tate...) Looks: His feminine appearance was a source of torment for him in the past and was also adequate to fool many an Otome. If you have no problems with Takumi, though, you should not be troubled by him. Personality: Identity confusion (going from boy to "girl" and back, from commoner to fake royalty to real royalty) and bits of wangsting might prove problematic for you. Has a very strong sense of justice that causes him to take actions which might not serve utilitarianistic ends. Rather impulsive. Good at hiding things and sneaking around, but not perfect. Protective of people, but mostly of those who protect him first. So do your part! Intelligence: Not quite the brightest spark. Aforementioned sense of justice can get in the way of his better judgement and start wars. Careful with this one. Economics: Being the last surviving heir to the manga!Windbloom throne, Manshiro certainly should have a lot of money to his name. No worries here. Unless, of course, he was left out of the will (we never did know)... Competition: You have Arika, Nina and Erstin. I think that should be enough...? In-Laws: Queen Mai, King Tate and twin sister Mashiro are quite dead. No idea here, though if HiME!Tate's words are any indication, you should have no issues. Warrior Skills: He has the Pure White Diamond and Sword of Akatsuki, which "killed" HiME Mai in one Stinger. It can do that Trinity-Something-Strike which offed Materialised Fumi and the Dark HiMEs in one shot. He can materialise a robe. However, his proficiency is questionable, given that his "higher-level" powers were dependent on tapping the power of others. Housekeeping Skills: He can sew very well. Well enough to help Nina pass Yukariko's requirements. Considering how much sewing is a male-disliked activity (as compared to cleaning and cooking, which have become considerably more accepted by the male part of homo sapiens), you could extrapolate that he excels in the other aspects of looking after a home (cooking, cleaning etc). Sex: No idea. He does have a fertile mind, "creative" enough to fantasise about Nina. He nearly got lucky with Nao and Miyu, but because of some bad luck he never did. It is thus hard to tell if he would actually prosper in this department. Initially he will be apprehensive about these matters, but give him enough encouragement and he will willingly get into your skirt. Father Material: Oh, you might have problems here. While by the time he becomes a father, he should have matured, there is the likelihood that he has not. Expect brashness from the kids. With time, the kids will be able to protect others as he can, but be warned that you will need to pamper them quite a bit in early life in order to see this trait come out. Overall: Manshiro will be hard to work with at first, but stick with him long enough and you should have a good husband. If you can pluck the Triple Threat away from him that is...
