Realistically, I doubt Nina Wong will be of any consequence to the plot, because knowing her priorities, she would definitely have "Rocked-The-Cazbock" with Sergey by now, especially in his current "low-resistant" state. (If she hasn't already done that to him in his coma)

So unless Fukuda's wife has got her grubby tentacles-of-plot-illogicity through the script, it can be safe to say Ms Wong would more than likely stay happily in her "married" (or at least "de-factoed") life.

... her name is spelled Nina Wáng or Nina Wang. Not Nina Wong. I don't care if all 3 are technically the same name with just a different romanisation method, the official website says Nina Wáng and several parts of the anime spell her name in English as Nina Wang.

ニナ・ウォン -> direct translate from katakana -> Nina Won (since "n" can also be replaced with "ng" it can be Wong as well)

Direct translation from レナ is "Rena", but then we know by now the official name is "Lena"

Wang(王 pinyin: Wáng) is one of the most common Chinese family names. In a 2002 study, Wang was ranked second most common in Mainland China. It literally means "king” (see Chinese noble#Wang), although bearing the name has no royal implications. Pinyin does not necessarily follow English spelling conventions, the “-ang” sound in pinyin is pronounced similar as it would be in German, the name is frequently mispronounced by American English speakers as IPA [wæŋ], rather than [waŋ], its correct pronunciation. The name is also frequently transliterated as Wong, especially for people from Hong Kong or from Guangdong. Note that "Wong" is actually the transliteration of two different surnames; Wang (王 pinyin: Wáng) and Huang (黄 pinyin: Huáng).

Wang is also the transliteration of 汪 (pinyin: Wāng), a less common surname among the Hundred Family Surnames.

It is also the Cantonese Romanization of some uncommon family names: 橫 (Pinyin: Héng), 弘 (Hóng), 閎 (Hóng), 宏 (Hóng).
From Wiki. See what you learn. Wong is too ambiguous, being a possible transliteration of 2 different characters. Wang, meaning king, when combined with Nina, meaning girl, makes a subtle hint to her status as the true queen of Windbloom. (Jyoou, meaning queen in Japanese, is a combination of the kanji for girl/woman and king.)

ワン is for "Wan", ウォン is for "Won", that is how the katakana translated to romaji. I don't blame nor care for any translators translating it into Wong (direct) or Wang or Wáng ("englishified", another example is "arubamu" is the direct, "album" is the "englishified), as I said, same with case "Rena" and "Lena", but then you said yourself you don't care as well, so I don't think this thing should get any bigger.

Wrong! Wáng, Wang and Wong are ALL pronounced the same in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese or otherwise), and the VOICED vowel "a" (as in the a's in wallet, wall and water) is transliterated into Japanese as "o".

Yes, it seemed quite the same with a few changes here and there. It's actually shorter than what the OVA covered. Dang, I thought we would see the mystery figure more clearly here. Guess we'll have to wait until next month.

OVA 2 Thread

For the RAW watchers (or TV):

When the second OVA hits the wire (23 February 2007), feel free to make a discussion thread for it. A Mod or Admin will add the poll and rules. We may not catch it in time since this forum has been banished to the dungeon. Or you can PM a Mod/Admin to create the thread.

A cookie for the person that does.

TIA.

I got a question though since nobody mentioned it. Would if an otome with a master became stone, would the master be stoned? Meaning if someone stoned Akane, would Kazu be hard as stone? *yes I intentionly placed innuendo there*
