I never really understood the allure of roleplaying but as long as it involves more than cybering in Goldshire I don't really see anything wrong with it either. I got those people good though, back on my old alliance hunter I used to grief Goldshire all the time. Bet all those kiddies dancing naked on the stage at the Darkmoon Faire were surprised to see a black drake from Burning Steppes rush the stage and kill them all. Probably could have wiped out the whole town if he didn't bug out and despawn.

Well, I've only ever been on the US servers so I have no experience elsewhere, but I doubt other servers can really be that much better. Stupidity knows no nationality or geographical location, there's going to be idiots no matter where you go.

lol, good point, but the Aussies arn't that bad...I mean there are those few that are so commanding and get mad at the tank (myself...) when the friggin fire mage with like BT gear takes agro and the healer can't heal..It's very annoying....But I would think that happens on all servers

It is true. The US servers are full of jerks.
..
I swear I'm not just a miffed player who got annoyed with level 70s ganking me repeatedly in Stranglethorn Vale on a RPPvP

Ah a shame Battlegrounds are great fun (Usually). It just sucks in a RPPvP when level 70s have nothing better to do but gank low level people. XD
Though it IS fun when they attack me and I live (I'm like level 43 or something) then I Divine Shield as all the Goblin guards whack them to death

Ah, you guys don't know what you're missing, ganking is both a science and an art form. When, as a 70 warlock, you get a 30-something rogue to pop evasion against you as you melee them down, you truly know you have won WoW. You also win if you kill a hunter's pet first while he watches, or if you gank someone seconds away from finishing an escort quest and then take out their npc in front of them while they sit there unreleased.

Yes I am a horrible person, I'm sorry. I haven't been bored enough to do any of that in a while though (well besides the last thing, I did that kind of recently but only because a chance coincidentally presented itself). When I was alliance I would never gank horde but once I switched sides with firsthand knowledge of what the alliance on my server were like, the gloves came off.

Edit: Ah, forgot to mention one very important thing. Even I am not safe from my ganking sprees. Yes, that's right, I am likely the only person who can say that I have in fact ganked myself. (Having 2 accounts was fun)

You are a horrible person RW It is people like you that make people hate the game
Or at least get the severely annoyed. Playing on a RPPvP taught me to rotate my camera. A lot. I once caught two hordes trying to sneak up on me that way.
They came and attacked me, so I said hi and killed them. (Well almost, I killed one but the Rogue stunned me then stealth and ran)

Thing is though, people know that this is what they are getting into when they sign up for a pvp server, and if they don't they will realize it early enough that it won't cost them any significant investment to reroll on a pve server. Not to mention the paid transfers. The people who stay and spend the whole time complaining about it really have nobody to blame but themselves.

On another note, here is a screen of my now abandoned lv 38 rogue ganking my now abandoned 70 hunter (still sporting full tier 2 haha). Please ignore my crappy interface as I didn't bother to setup anything for that character.

Spoiler:

Ouch that hurts there. I expected joining a RPPvP that people would be nice enough to not just gank because they can I only do it for er... RP reasons :P Like I kill Blood Elves regardless. Anyone else though I leave them alone unless they bug me.

Heh, that comment wasn't really directed at you but the game's community in general. But I think I found your problem. You should never assume people will be nice, under any circumstances but especially on an internet game with a massive community. Half the reason I gank people is because I assume they are jerks and know they'd do the same to me if the positions were reversed.

And yeah, I would gank Blood Elves too if I could.

Kinda looking forward to the expansion myself, it would be fun to play a Death Knight, since that is probably the closest I'll get to a necromancer class in WOW!

As for bosses dead, Illidan I highly doubt is dead, the quest text for him is 'defeated'. Its much the same as Kael'Thas, you loot an orb not his head for the turnin, and then appears and mocks the crap out of you when you hand it in. Kael is making a return in the next patch released raid (The Sunwell, he is attempting to revitalise the Sunwell, apparently the whole WoW manga is to set up this instance.) where you'll have beat him as well as fight an avatar of Kil'Jaden (was all mentioned at Blizzcon or the cesspo.. er WoW Forums). So I think the chance of Illidan being dead is not so guaranteed. I got a feeling Maiev made off with his body for some smexytimes healing, the whole dialog between the two at the end of the fight is like some tragic cliche romance, which is so cool haha. "fool woman, now who you going to chase!" "oh noes hes right, i loved him! I'm such a fool!"

I'm really really really annoyed at what they are doing with Malygos, the bugger is supposed to be sane! Oh well, they hinted that you'll face him down with Alexstraeza, so she might beat some sense into him, since killing him outright makes no freaking sense.

I'm interested to see Deathwing again though, I really like how he was portrayed in the novels (if you like Knaak or hate him, you have to admit he at least made the Aspects somewhat interesting). Took the other 4 aspects to chase him away last time he showed up.

Arthas, meh, he is supposed to play a bigger role in the x-pac then illidan did in TBC. They seem to have the idea of him essentially guiding your steps through Northrend following the same path he walked, and making his decisions. Probably so when you do finally get to him and face him and probably defeat him the victory will be kinda morally hollow (except for the shiney epics!) because you've basically done the same as he has done. hell you will help him slaughter the innocent citizens of Stratholme in the Caverns of Time, wheres your morals now! "For the good of the time-line?"

Malygos is sane, it's just that sane doesn't necessarily mean that he's on our side. I mean, we have warlocks in both the Horde AND the Alliance. If anything, killing us all is the only sane thing to do, lore-wise.

Yes I fall into the category of "Didn't like Horde before since they had nothing pretty to play as."

Hah good point.

I'm sure there'd be many people who'd want to help him in his quest to destroy all arcane magic users (lols pwned mages, locks to I guess if we're not being to picky).

I also just remembered that the dwarf heritage quests will be fleshed out more in Northrend to, and it was said on the Discs of Norgannon quest in Uldaman that the Titans would eventually come back to Azeroth and hit a global 'reset' button because life has evolved away from their designs. Good times, good times.

I used to be that way too until I got tired of people thinking I was a girl. The fact that many people out there will forever remember me as "Irisa" or "Sophia" still bothers me to this day. And there is no way I would ever play a male of any of the alliance races except maybe dwarf, the rest look goofy beyond belief - humans look like apes, night elves are stick figures with pecs who scream when they die, and draenei and gnomes are just...well...yeah.
