Yeah, an expected win for Brazil, a thorough 3-0 victory...Chile wasn't playing that bad, but they're just outclassed. Brazil reminded us why they're the favorite again, and got their deserved victory. Today is more or less a predictable day, but it's Brazil who looks to be the more dangerous side for the quarter finals.

I wouldn't say they played badly, but they played like Bielsa always likes to, fast and frenetic. He's a great manager, but he just can't accept that you can't do that against a team like Brazil. Same thing happened with Spain.

If that's your way of saying that we're doomed, I can't help but agree with you.

Out of all the times we faced Brazil, I think only once or twice did we win from them.

If you've watched the post-game analysis, I don't think there's any doubt that Brazil are anything but disciplined in their back-line. Just as this year's Germany are a different team, so is this season's Brazil.

It's not really "samba" football any more, but I'll be damned if Brazil aren't the very definition of beautiful football. Hats off to the South Americans. What do they eat down there? Lots of beef? Oh wait, maybe that's Argentina.

If it really does come down to an all-South American final, I'm definitely supporting Brazil.

Holland vs. Brazil is going to be fun to watch. My money's on Brazil, though.

I'm not saying Brazil's back four isn't disciplined. However, the surging runs by Maicon/Alves, Bastos and even Lucio can't be as frequent against the Netherlands because they have the horses to launch quality counterattacks.

Bit late to this, but lol, second time I see a El Chavo reference on this forum.

Brazil much like Argentina has good strikers but their middle and defense seems rather week... Really bad thing if they go up against Germany....well the first to be tested out will be ARG ... thats gonna be one hell of a match

If the Argentinians aren't careful the German team will show them what the word "counter-attack" means! Go-go Germany! Show them the power of youth!

Let me put it this way.... out of the 3 you mentioned the one making miracles during the last game was Heinze.....unless he has a nickname I don't know about...

My mistake. I read your sentence wrong and thought you meant Brazil's mid-field and back four was weak.

I agree with you Argentina aren't great defending.

I fully expect Spain to win tonight, Portuguese defence won't be able to hold David Villa. The Paraguay Japan match is harder to predict, hoping for a Japan win though.

Me too. Keisuke Honda has truly been revelation so far.
