I have a rather biased foreigner's ear and as such am not entirely fit to discuss the pros and cons of one spelling over another in an English translation. But as someone who knows actual people called Marleen, I would just like to point out that that name, as pronounced in German/Dutch/similar Germanic languages, sounds more like Marlayne, rather than the English name Marlene.

Also, are you going to stick to the Van spelling instead of Vingt? Shame. It would break the tradition of elegant-looking and accurately spelled names in that family.

As for the others:

Good catch on the "Van" part. Seeing that I'm reading the Traitor to Destiny story for Advance of Zeta, THAT character is named Van. :/

Working on getting some photos up now...they're crap, but I'm assuming someone will do some better scans at some point.

Yeah soo...crappy. And mostly sideways. But you'll get the idea, I'm sure. There were a couple more things with the MG kits and a full color page of some stuff we've already seen, just as a sort of "summary" I think. If anyone wants to see those before someone does better scans I can do that. This is all just the FT art for this month + MG Epyon.

I wish they would have released a few more pictures with these past few issues. Seems like we're not getting as many as we did at first.

But, good news is we're getting closer to seeing FT Duo possibly? Wonder if they're just holding out for suspense or if they don't ever plan to illustrate any of the 5 pilots, minus Heero.

I don't know...a little suprised we got Zechs, so maybe. And they are slowly creeping towards it.

You know, even if they do do an illustration of him, he'll probably look exactly the same, but with slightly smaller eyes and possibly shorter hair?

Probably because Zechs doesn't seem to have aged at all, so there's nothing to 'reveal', though they've showed Catherine and Hilde, so...

Yeeeeah that's what I figure which is why I don't get why they're being such cockteases about it.

Yep, and Catherine was older than the pilots during the original series, right? She looks about the same however many years later. And Hilde just looks taller and angrier

I don't think it said he didn't age, it just said he still had a youthful vigor/look to him, ie, he 'aged well', as they say.

And Kurage, Sumizawa spells 'schwarz' with a 't'. As far as orthography in other languages goes, I wouldn't mind 'official Japanese' spelling. Then again, Milliardo ought to be Milliard if spelled correctly.

On that note, one thousand in Greek is 'chilia' without an 's'. But I can understand the need to add it to make the name sound more masculine.

Ugh, this is starting to really grind my gears with so many flipping linguistic divergences for names. How so? I'll explain. We have the character Lucrezia Noin. Noin is supposed to be German for 'nine' (neun). Well, her wonderful brothers name is a hybrid of French and German. Dixneuf Neuenheim. *applauds* His name means 19 New Homes.

So thus proves the trick in explaining any sort of lineage towards one another.
