Okay, i finished the book this morning at 2:00 am. Subtracting time for meals, the total time count was 13 hours for powering through the book.
Overall, I thought it was the best book yet, and i think I see why it took so darn long for her to write. It was TOTALLY worth the wait. I'm very satisfied overall. I give it a 9.5/10 (A+).

Have the book sitting in my room staring at me begging to be read, but alas lack of time means it will have to wait, but let me tell you once i finish all i need to do, it would be a complete powereading which = no food, no tv, no computer, doors locked, no toilet (if can be helped), no drinking and no sleeping until i finish it...
If i make it out of this alive i'll post my general impression of the book...

The book was published only this week around here. Have to admit that I have been waiting for it, since the previous ones have been good. But it's a bit ridicilous how someone would bother to PHOTOGRAPH the whole thing for the net while there are scanners. It was even in the news.

I started and finished the book on Saturday. I thought it was really good! And I'm a bit disappointed that the series is over, but it had to happen eventually. My thoughts on it: Spoiler for don't read unless you've read the book or want to be spoiled!:

ah finished it when I got it on the first day. I'll have to re-read it again soon just to see if I missed anything. For some reason I didn't really like the epilogue that much. There's still so much I want to know!
Spoiler for examples:
oh man my neck hurt so much when I was reading it. And I stayed up late just to finish it. I didn't want to be spoiled by my friend (who reads suuuuper fast) the next day. Good book! |

Spoiler for about that...:
I dunno, i mean, in the fourth book it sure seemed like something that will have consequences, but when this subject is brought up in the seventh - it is basically glued on, just sticked on the plot with a pin. Anyway, last book is about on the same average level as the first one, it went limp after book 5. |

-Harry and Ron revolutionized the Auror Department (Harry's the head) -Hermione's high up in Law Enforcement -McGonagall doesn't seem to be the Headmistress of Hogwarts (too old?) I thought it was a bit sudden too. Fred was a bit unbelievable - I thought he'd jump up and say he was joking. I completely missed Lupin and Tonks - when Harry saw them in the hall 'sleeping', I thought they were actually sleeping -.- Anyways, in another interview Rowling said Lupin and Tonks died because she kept Mr. Weasly alive. |
