To agree wiht the two post before me:

Nope, Ryuk Life spam is not augmented by the use Light is giving it, the current owner of the Death Note is Light, as Ryuk doesn’t have any auhtority over this Death Note.

If the Shimigamis would had gained life spam when the Humans use it, the lazy Shimigmais would had given up their Death Notes to Humans, so while the Shimigmais are playing whatever it is they play, the Humans that have the respective deathnotes would be using them and thus helping the Simigmais lifespam.

Ok this is a stupid question but does death note ever run out of page? the thickness isn't that much and if one write that many criminal in there it is gonna run out of page sooner or later. What if one write it in pencil and erase it can one use the same page again? is that possible?

That was the same questions for a lot of manga readers.
finally, they gave the answer in HOW TO USE XXXI :
"The number of pages of the DEATH NOTE will never run out."

yeah, kinda lame, but since DN is already that fancy, that "wouldn't be that surprising.

It’s Only on Birth Names, as L used multiples names and The Death Note can only work on his real name.

Anime wise it has no been mentioned, I dont recall in Manga, but taking a feel of the day to day evenst that happens in the DN universe, Its almost one year since the moment Light took DN in his Hands.

In Death Note Rem tells Misa she had her life-span extended by a shinigami who fell in love with her and died and that's why she got her Death Note. Did someone fall in love with Light too or did Ryuk really just drop it?

The first episode explains that Ryuk dropped it because he was really bored and wanted to be entertained by the human who would pick it up (Light). If I remember correctly, when Light asks Ryuk why he was chosen to become owner of the Death Note, Ryuk tells him that he didn't pick Light. Ryuk says he just dropped the Death Note in that area, and Light just happened to pick it up.

It looks more like Rem and Ryuk's reasons for giving their spare Death Notes to humans are very different.

They have to be paired up by proximity (description follows name) or else it will fail and you'll get heart attacks.

They are two different versions of the same story. Neither happens before the other.

I would recommend watching the anime first since it covers the story in greater detail. Otherwise you'll just have a lot of points spoiled before you see it done properly. Of course this is just my opinion on how it would be best.

Well, have you read any of the manga at all?

I'll go with NoSanninWa, and say just check out the anime. The movie's are good, but aren't the complete Death Note story.
