Looks like the only new series I will be watching this summer is Tokyo Majin unless somebody has any recommendations.

Shakugan no Shana II is scheduled in Fall2007 and the remaining 2 episodes of Geass will likely be showned in July...

@Overthere!: You can always fill your time with Votoms Palisen Files. If it's anywhere near as good as the original Votoms it will more than make up for the lack of Geass.

2 more episodes to conclude the 1st season.

The REAL 2nd season will air in October...probably.

I'll be looking forward to Mononoke, VOTOMs, KARAS, and ZnT II definitely. Others will be a watch and evaluate basis.

Personally, I'm looking forward to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (I love the art style) and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. I always seem to have bad luck when checking out new anime; I don't watch much, but the stuff I do check out tends to wind up with low priority when it comes to subs Just my luck! But at least someone will probably pick up Higurashi, yes?

By the way, does anyone know exactly what Higurashi 2 is going to be like? I've heard before that it could even be a remake of the first series, so I'm not quite sure what to expect.

I've stuck this thread and changed the title to a wider Summer 2007: Your Expectations and Anticipated Series (since we had one with the same title for spring, and we might follow this standard for the future).

As for my most anticipated series of the new season, well .. the second installment of Higurashi wins by several, several miles. I think it's the series I've rewatched more since when it aired and I'm really happy that they're making it 24 episodes long. They should have all the time for the missing parts of the story to reveal.

That aside: I'll be certainly watching:

Zero no Tsukaima Second season
School Days
Nanatsuiro Drops

Though I have to inform myself a bit since I don't know some of the titles listed.

Higurashi 2 is by far the thing i am looking towards the most. The first season is among the very top of my favorite animes, so needless to say i am drooling over the second season and the conclusion to the mystery.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2 - OMG, this gets a second season? I am soo watching this one. The first one was absolutely hilarious, and i hope the second manages to maintain the level of insanity

School Days: I am having a lot of expectations riding on this one, so it better not fail I sure hope they won't tune it down on the mature parts though - that would ruin the series.

Other things i am specifically interested in:

• Zero no Tsukaima Second season
• Nanatsuiro Drops
• Sky Girls (need my loli fix )

Lacking information about most of the other titles due to laziness, but will end up checking most of em out, probably.

As for the rest I'm sorta interested in Tokyo Majin part 2, Tetsuko no Tabi, and maybe Baccano!.

I should be getting very busy during the Summer season and shoudln't have the time to watch so much anime, but all the same, there's that along with stuff continuing from the spring (Dennou Coil, DtB)... aargh. I think I might not watch Tokyo Majin 2 and just leave it for the ever growing pile of to-be-marathoned stuff, but even if I drop everything I have to watch Mononoke.

Shigurui! Hopefully we get some kind of good detailed gory animation out of it, and since at at least the manga is very brilliant and visceral here's hoping.

As for the rest... I'm mildly interested in Mononoke and Tokyo Majin "2nd Season".

I believe the official website has already announced that the second series will not be a remake, but a direct sequel. The new season will contain 3 story arcs. The first is an anime original, while the last 2 will be the final 2 answer arcs from the games (so expect some answers at last!).
