I dont know any ep voted as many as this is voted about 10/10...

For me Hitagi is special character. I have never seen the character like Hitagi.
She was, said by herself in ep1, Tsundere...But, she said I love you directly to Araragi...
And in this ep she decided to kiss with Araragi,by herself.
Very prrety,lovely first date for them!!! Amazing!!, all of this first date was set by Hitagi.
Maybe, she was not typical Tsundere character. She express her love in important point SO DIRECTLY, not being shy. I was embarassing when watching such Hitagi, but I felt happy,touched so much. Thannk for such beautiful episode.

does anyone know where I can buy a copy of the translated novels or if they exist at all? I already have the original JP format copies and have also read translated versions on bakatsuki, but I would like to get a hard copy in english as well. I also was wondering if anyone knew when the kizumonogatari anime adaptation was scheduled/rumored to come out

No official copy in English is present. As for the movie its planned for 2012.

I marathoned the series till EP 12 (more is coming *rejoice*), and all I can say is: wow! That was probably the best... well... couple love episode I've ever seen. Very impressing. Now I consider to read the novel, too. One random thing I must mention is, I really liked Araragi's answer to the question what he likes about her. It was technically the antithesis to his statement that he doesn't like her "teasing"/foul mouth (or how you would call it ^^).

I don't have to mention 10 out of 10, do I?

episode twelve was surprisingly touching actually. LOL. kinda teary eyed. LOL. Hitagi is in every way hard to hate especially when she tells about what she felt for that damn lucky bastard.

So more than 2 years later, I rewatched the episode again. Still the most godly episode of the entire series thus far.

Was interesting that the Kizumonogatari used the BGM in this episode.

Well, I will credit the show for it's valliant attempt to sell Hitagi to me. I still don't really buy her character much nor do I really have any attachment to their relationship, but this episode pulled a great effort into writing romantic dialogue. The part about kissing near the end was great.

There was also a lot of decent comedy, of which I really never liked that much in the series, but it was A-game here, mostly. The rice feeding failure and the first half of the car scene was hilarious, though it got a bit weary. It's nice, but what about Tsubasa?

Hitagi's father is Gendo?

It sorta felt I was watching a different series at times. Kinda cute and romantic; it's just that it's all kind of a cool story to me. Still, I like what I saw and see why everyone starts drooling over this episode.
