True on both counts. Lawrence really is a solid male lead with the distinct lack of nose bleeds or the usual anime lead response to some situations.

well back then, they were a little bit more practical about these things.

I reckon people grew a bit more faster then they do now-a-days.

It's a bit refreshing i suppose, as most animes just grab the same character attitudes and profiles and just stick them in different random places.

I always find it interesting how few artists understand where a tail springs from anatomically speaking. A few of them got it spot on target ... but several use impossible angles or (more often) sprout it from near the kidneys (O.o).

A Witch. Spicy Wolf is set in the middle ages afterall, so Lawrence and Horo bound to meet one in their journey.

However, she prefer to be referred to as an Alchemist as being a witch sounds taboo, first apperance is in Vol.3 I will not spoil anything, but she knew quite a few things in regards to Horo's home.

The middle ages setting allows cool elements like that with more tradition. I guess what makes me love the story of Ookami to Koushin is that it's magical/supernatural ....but doesn't heavilly rely on those things to progress the story.

Anyway I hope that if we don't get to see the witch/alchemist through the last 11 episodes we have. We get to see her in a possible second season.

You might read her entry in Wikipedia, her name is Dian Rubens. I think it is the best answer can and be allowed to tell you here. If you want know more about her (background and origin), you could only PM those who have read up to vol 3 since we are not supposed to answer such a spoilerish question in this thread.
