I guess there's no new news about the series. In the meantime, these guys did a podcast about Hunter x Hunter, what they liked and disliked and so on. Maybe they said something wrong and you can explain why that is. You can listen to it here. (Just click ahead for 17:10 and it'll play.)

Didn't Togashi say in an interview that he didn't want the anime catching up to the manga ?If he doesn't start soon,it's going to be over before he releases a new chapter,which is kind of sad.

I guess the anime team is already prepared to end it after Gon meets his Dad.

So has anyone heard anything new ?

I can't work up any enthusiasm. We will be lucky to get even a dozen chapters that look half-finished. Then another hiatus.

My expectations hit rock bottom ages ago. WSJ should just tell him to take it elsewhere.

Because the issues that DO have HxH sell way better than without HxH?

Remember that this guy is basically a God in Japan.

That being said, I'm "happy" that there's going to be a continuation, but yeah my "excitement" is kind of "numbed". Either way I'll probably enjoy the chapters that do get released regardless.

You know, that is a good question. The last chapter ended at the end of not just an arc, but an entire saga. We literally have no clear indicatoin as to where the plot goes next. Just that every single member of our core group is currently someplace else.

Will Gon hang out with his dad some more? Will we learn more about Killua's adventure with Alluka? Will we see a bit more of what Leorio has been doing? Will we finally find out what's been happening to Kurapica?

Or will it be something entirely different?

Personally I don't care who it is but I want the very next chapter to be about one of the main four characters rather than the Zodiac. Yeah I'm sure they're hunt will be interesting but we literally have no fucking Idea what Kurapika is doing and if I had any other choice it'd be for Gon to decide what it is he's going to do now.

Well from togashi's schedule he at least has to do SOMETHING each year...I'm just glad it's sooner than later and hope that what he puts out makes up for kicking us in the balls by just giving us a two chapter special last year.

Maybe, chimera ant arc of anime gave a good influence to his creativity and it made him enthusiastic.
Because when former version of anime came to an end, Togashi was very disappointed.

So, official hiatus was like two years without releasing chapter after the orders of hunting down netero is send to the hunters. (Kurapika's Reminisence didn't count during hiatus)

Fucking finally. That was his longest hiatus so far, wasn't it?

It's a good thing the anime was there to tide us over, I would have lost interest in the series otherwise.

Not sure how to feel about this... For one thing, the upcoming arc with Netero's son didn't really interest me that much at first glance. And ofcourse the manga's revival might be shortlived again.
