Well you can't blame Rito. Haruna is his first love and wanted to confess to her, but ended up confessing to Lala and the rest is history...

But I really feel Rito has alot more feelings towards Haruna than any of the girls as shown so far in TLRD.

Not anymore. If anything, his feelings toward Lala continue growing as the series progresses.

Actually looking at it this way, his relationship with Haruna has been utterly static. Neither side seems to be able to progress at all.

On the other hand, the other candidates are developing by leaps and bounds.

Haruna x Rito is your typical pair up. While Rito has his first sight on Haruna, he's developing well you can say as "HAREM BONDS" between the girls that like him.

To be fair any progress between Haruna and Rito ends with them becomeing a couple and locks everyone else out even Lala.

The way Rito is madly in love with Haruna, the ONLY way all the other girls are going to be with Rito is by way of True Harem ending. Which is why I support it very badly. Because there is no freaking way Momo, Yui, or even Risa can win otherwise.

Yeah, Rito did confess to Lala. But Haruna is still on the higher priority scale.

And you guys are being frontrunners/selfish on this one. Not everyone is on the Haruna or Lala camp. They have their own their own girls that want to win this one, and the only way for that to happen IS via a real harem getting established by Rito in the manga.
