Exactly right just beating him wouldn't have gotten those wings back. However Noumi wouldn't have really "died" back then because that match wasn't a winner take all death match. He still b would've been able to come back and fight another day.

Noumi got what he deserved, and he'll be better off without BB...kinda creepy though
The hidden truth behind Brain Burst is revealed, if you lose all your, it's over. No evidence is left behind, no memories, nothing.

Finally, the touching reunion of Kuroyukihime and Sky Raker aka Fuuko.
And a bit of KYH's name is revealed when Fuuko calls her by a nickname...Sacchan, eh?

Crack Idea when watching the final part of the episode
KYH .....? Sa-chan? Fuuko called KYH as Sachan the hell SACHI!!!!!?
The hell Kirito named her daughter on a girl which he failed to protect.

Sachi? o my, they are really teasing us about a possible KiritoxAsuna in AW.
Anyway, the ending was perfect. Great sad,love and happy scenes. Also, teased us about some characters that will show up in the 2nd season: [mod edit: removed future event spoiler]

The biggest thing this episode? Sky Raker called KYH as Sachan! That is the closest we've gotten to her real name, and from the reactions of novel readers, probably the closest we'll get.

As for the episode, Chiyu finally explained her reason, but it still does not make it feel any better for what she has done. Yes, there is logic behind it, but I just feel like it could have been handled better.

As for how things look, it appears that Sky Raker is going to make a return to Nega Nebulous. Wow! That would be so awesome! A level 8 member joining the already overpowered team. Btw, I'm wondering. Will Nega Nebulous ever add anymore male members besides Haru and Taku? For some reason, I feel like they are going to try to build a harem around Haru.

For now, it still seems like Nega Nebulous and Prominence (Red Legion) are still on some form of truce or ally. Personally, I prefer that they remain that way for the rest of the story, but we'll have to see then.

finally the noumi arc is over. I really hated him. Finally found out why Chiyu kept healing Noumi. KuroYukiHime was the star in this episode. So much moe.

Though as expected of Noumi Seijin! Even if hit with amnesia, he proves to be very entertaining. This time as an idiot though.

Not amnesia, Niko confirmed that losing Brain Burst equals losing all your memories of Brain Burst. It depends on what you mean by everything, only 4 people in the school knew his true personality, while club members/classmates might the sudden change in personality strange. Since he's shown in the Kendo club, he obviously remembers his everyday life minus Brain Burst, though whether he has any talent in Kendo without using Physical Burst is unknown.

1st : yay! I like how Haruyuki stabbed Nomi in the air... especially that moment when Fuuko and Kuroyukihime appeared from nowhere...

2nd : almost RAGE when I hear "Citron Call!!!" but I understood suddenly... yeah!
that's turning back time ability... and to think Chiyu is the one who used Nomi... omg! this girl is scary! lol

3rd : Nomi's pitiful face... crawling in the ground.... hahaha! If I am Haruyuki, I'll stepped on his head... slice his hands before slicing his head *GORE mode*

4th : heck! Haruyuki's confession... or rather it's a proposal... and Kuroyukihime entered moe mode.... lost her coolness... lol!

5th : I like how they conclude this arc... Kuroyukihime overwrote the incident and everyone is apologizing... and Nomi... no matter what face you put, I don't want to remember you anymore... hahaha

6th : wow! Niko-ch- *stabbed by Niko* and Pard-san in school uniform...

7th : Fuko and Sachan's reunion... who will expect this?? so touching *crying in the heart*

and that's how they conclude the first season

True...though he would have spread word about all their real life identities.

Wow that ending! Sky Raker rejoining NN! Didn't see that coming, I thought there would have been an arc centered around Raker & Lotus for something like that.

So in the time span of a week.

NN gains:
Chiyu + she's a level 4(?) now.
Haru + Taku both learned the incarnate system
KYH gets reins to tame legendary beasts
And they get Sky Raker, a level 8...

Good job to them.
Noumi too, he helped them move along faster!

I look forward to whenever a 2nd season comes along! (iirc it had good sales in the BD/DVD department...)

The Accel World anime adapts volumes 1-4 of a light novel series that's up to 12 volumes and still ongoing. It's not the end of the series as a whole, just the end of the material they decided to adapt for the time being.

If they don't continue the anime, some work is being done on translating the light novels. So you could ask about that in the appropriate thread.

Yeah, I loved that part. Full on yandere against Haru there.

Also liked how it showed Haru giving the wings back. Absolutely seemless.

At last... the most despicable adversary of the 2nd half of the season is dead and gone, in the Accel World. Though, before this episode, at first I was expecting for Noumi to get a punishment worse than that; but this time, I believe this is the most fitting end for his 'evil alter ego', Dusk Taker, to go up in smoke. With his former evil self and his memories of Brain Burst perished, it's a matter of time for him to get a fresh start of his new life. From a notorious sadistic bully, to a happy-go-lucky goofy kid. LOL

Still, I find it hilarious when Noumi crawled away like a bug.

As for Chiyu, I always knew that she would never cross her mind. She does any means to help her two amigos. Remember, she never really betray them. Though she could have handle things better from the first place. What's interesting is that some fandoms I've came across (outside of this forum) have underestimated her as a character. She seems to have an interesting, yet a complicated personality.

Haru x KYH scenes was cute and sweet. But it still doesn't convince the fact that Haru is still being clueless or oblivious about love, as usual. Instead, he rather wants to be her knight in a shining armor. No offense here, by the way.

And lastly, the reunion of Fuuko and KYH was very touching.

Biggest highlight of the episode finale: Did Fuuko called her... Sachan?
I bet this is the closest we can get to know her real identity.

By the way, two new girls were appeared in the cast. Probably foreshadows the upcoming second season. I'm looking forward to it. Can't wait to see more about Chrome Disaster, which is believed to be the best part of this series.

PS: This episode is overall enjoyable, in both action and amusing entertainment.

With the memory loss revealed, it carries a heavier implication to Red Rider's and Purple King's relationship. KYH unknowingly destroyed their relationship and Purple King's grudge is more justified.

Now then, the ARG anticipated this memory loss and added their own feature by making sure the BIC is also dissolved with BB. They are quite thorough.

Seeing Noumi with no memories of BB is quite jarring. He really changed when he got the BB application.

You have to wonder though what was the creator's true goal with this game. I am getting similar vibes to SAO...

With Fuko rejoining NN, the legion is becoming a significant force. I am sure the kings will not ignore this development.
