Finally caught up to this episode after a long anime hiatus. Pretty good show; I like it.

It would have been better had he been a reverse trap (girl dressed as a boy).

The clones show quite a bit more personality than Kanade. Kanade's personality has always been extremely passive, to some extent robotic. So now that the clones have been absorbed back into Kanade, it would be interesting to see how Kanade's personality evolves as a result.

Kanade vs Clone was epic, even if only for 0.5 seconds. Rest of first half was okay, not great though. Second half... okay I've seen the scenery before, the deaths are just repeated jokes (not funny anymore), can't even feel sorry for them as they'll be back soon enough. Also why would the clones be distracted by someone impaling himself on her blade while she blocks the only exit? Seriously, just chop them up with your second blade, you stupid clone! *Sigh* There's so much wasted potential in this show.

6/10

Oh and was anyone smirking/smiling at Yuri's response at the suicide pawns. It's more like she's thinking mentally, "Guys, get a grip already..." xD

The discovery of the manual seems like major stuff to me. Implying it's a game, and they use the phrase npc a lot. I think we are going to find out god is a fan of World of Warcraft!

I saw the complication of absorbing coming a mile away. I was like "no!" "someone do something!" during those 10 seconds. Good helpless feeling.

Sure the death jokes have been "overused," but what's the point of an anime where the characters can't die if you can't abuse their deaths a bit? The whole constantly killing themselves theme is funny because the characters can't seem to realize they could try survial instead of suicide.
Irregardless though, the deaths always make me laugh, so I have no complaints for them.

But really, this cliffhanger? Most stressed I've been for the next chapter/episode of something to come out for a long time. While I loved all the Evil Tenshi and their laughing, smirking and general emotions, I'm really worried for Kanade now... like every other Kanade fanboy.

"Becareful not to pay attention to class."

They make it sound like such a hard thing, whilst I do it on a regular basis. I would totally love to be in this afterlife.

Well this is interesting, it looks like their going down the "virtual reality" route, even though I have no clue how this is going to work. The suicide's in general were hilarious but TK again stole the show. The whole disaster with Yurippe and the computer was pretty obvious but I wonder how this is going to tie into the plot.

It's still sort of odd the way they all dramatically react to their fellows being slaughtered around them. You'd think they'd all be used to it by now watching each other get mangled and maimed and then get back together later like it was nothing. Normally you'd think that after a while when the characters start realizing that the concept of mortality does not exist at all where they are they'd start treating it as a normal everyday occurrence.

The biggest fault of the series right now is that the excellent premise and the urgency of the recent events really clashes with the way it seems that everyone else gets pushed aside. Being a Key work one would be used to the story having a lot of characters, but the story does tend to suffer some from the pacing and rushed issues Maeda supposedly admitted to. So much potential in such a large cast with their very individual nuances and personalities that it really sucks the series isn't running long enough to give everyone their time to shine. It almost feels like the first half of Air TV.

Their individual deaths thus becomes a mixture of pure hilarity and... well pity. Yes it's funny but at the same time I feel bad for them being almost relegated to comedic sideshows.

Anyway enough of that. Serious Key-style cliffhanger drama shit at the end. If it's time for Maeda to start doing what he does best, that is reducing grown men into puddles of blubbering meat, then it likely begins next week.

In fact, without the obvious comedy aspect, the sacrifices would have looked dim and poor, because the premise is already affected by the fact they don't die.
Can they just past them instead make a jokes (and they are in hurry too, for the hellsake) when their friend get stabbed ?
Even if they are immortal, Its unthinkable your friend stabbed by foes = you "laughing"
Hell if Baccano! have a scene where the Immortal point exposed as jokes.
But whatever the jokes killed the "intensity" too for me... sigh why its always like this, when the atmosphere getting tense they always try to kill it somehow.

I smelling a conspiracy here...

Maybe the writers are just bad at separating the drama from the comedy...

the pink *** finally shut the *** up! thank you, metal hard thing!

Yuri being *** again not caring about Kanade getting hurt. she may acknowledged Kanade as a human like them, but it doesn't mean she can't make her punch bag again.

the weird thing is the Angel Player manual. if Kanade is really just a normal human like them, why she has a manual? if she created the program herself she has no need of manual, but if she got the program and the manual from someone else... could that be that Kanade got her "Tenshi" task form the same person? maybe she has connection with God?

But the frequencies is too often, its almost hard to believe its unintentional if you ask me

Btw is this show related to Kadokawa somehow ?

At least the pace is getting neat now, hope they won't screw it again.

And care to explain how any character could expect that "overload" effect with absorb?
There is little to no clue that it could have been harmful for Kanade.
So the whole "punch bag" stuff looks totally out of the left field here.

Somebody care to go back and count how many times each member of the SSS team has died? That includes the chair launching scenes too.

I take it Tenshi will be able to show some expressions now after this episode.

That's it, if she's OK. Knowing this is by Key however, she may not.
