I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but ...

Haruhiism on American Idol

It's a shame that the performance didn't turn out so well.

But in the end, the biggest shame is how otaku/anime culture has been represented. On national television.

Why is the video called "Hare Hare Yukai on American Idol"? There was maybe a 1 second clip where she was actually doing it, and that could easily have been her just being a spaz.

After this embarrassment on live TV, she just screwed her self over. Her DeviantArt page is filled with troll vs white knight comments from 4chanfags (on the bright side, her number of page views has gone up like 10000+ since then), and her YouTube and Facebook page have been destroyed likewise.

The posts on 4chan boards are pretty bad, but hilarious and epic nonetheless.

And to those who couldn't find the Hare Hare Yukai part, it starts at about 40-41 seconds into the clip.

... Gotta be kidding me. Her 'Hare Hare Yukai' consisted of only a twirl around and the 'rubbing of eyes' move at 'Warai Nagara Hamingu' (moves that do not actually follow each other originally). All the video poster is doing is making Hare Hare Yukai and Haruhi look bad

Well, they say any publicity is better than no publicity. She got her wish to 'make it big', albeit probably not the way she wanted

I sang Bouken Desho Desho...but It's not good...Let's all keep in mind I used Audacity to record the voice and music so...It sucks. REALLY badly.
