Well Black already appeared and White had a mini Cameo in the episode too(Kudos to those who spotted her) - so we may actually see her again this season.
And for everyone who couldn't spot white in this episode: Spoiler for White:

This episode was epic! Leo finally showed he could get away from thieves but he never uses his God Eyes. The final fight was really cool but painful based on the kid's wounds. Still, the cameo by White made it even better. I think Kekkai Sensen and Beyond is my anime of the year. Really satisified with this. It's a shame the manga's serialization has such slow serialization to the point we might need a lot of years to get a possible season 3.
BTW, did Michella get married? I was confused with the last scenes but her future husband was a good guy. |

So I watched up until episode 6 and then skipped to 11/12.
Without the narrative of Black & White from last season, the anime is mostly just a bunch of short stories. For some reason it wasn't appealing to me. I really liked season 1 and also the last two episodes though and probably the first few. So uhh... |

It's interesting to find viewers who liked the original "overarching narrative" approach from S1; most commenters here say the anthology format's much better. |

The finale story was weird at certain areas, but it's only because we really haven't got a world-threatening situation where only Leo can do anything about it. However, it more than made up by making several callbacks from the first season, from White to the very first case that was Leo's passport into Libra, and Klaus admiring Leo's perseverance.
Also, holy shit that sequence with Klaus punching the guy so hard it shattered the windows of a skyscraper. (I also hope people can now catch the Super Mario and TMNT references in the backstory of Leo and Michaella. ) Overall, the episodic nature of the second season has made this show somehow enjoyable if you look at it as individual stories, but this meant that one cannot really look into the show as a whole series. If you do, you'd probably wonder where the overarching plot is, and the magic breaks down. That said, Libra continues to be amazing in both action and interaction. I would definitely watch more, but I think that the anime has caught up to the manga, making it a long wait before enough plot can be adapted. Best episode would probably be Bratatat Mom, followed by Steven's episode.

Well, this was pretty awesome. Sure, the end conflict was fairly small-scale, relatively speaking, but it entirely centered on Leo's character and what/whom he holds dear, which IMO made it all the more effective and personal. And it was great seeing Libra being essentially Leo's support net in a meaningful way (instead of the random pointless cameos they got in the last episode of S1), caring about him, figuring out how to help him, and saving him in the end. On the negative side, White felt shoehorned-in and her effect felt unearned (especially considering how she was never even mentioned before this last arc) but eh, I guess it was a bit of fanservice they thought they needed to add. And in the end it was still Klaus' words that gave Leo strength for the last push.
Overall I loved this show! I enjoyed it more than I did S1 - not that I hated S1, not at all, I loved it a lot, but in the end it was a pretty serious letdown, for reasons that S2 smartly avoided. In the end S2 gave me what S1 didn't, the focus on Libra. The lack of overarching plot didn't bother me at all (I'm not someone who requires one) and the characters and the stories were very fun and likeable, and easy to care about. It was just an all-around great show, with a lot of heart, and I'm probably going to rewatch it every so often. |

Overall, I think it was a nice show but not as entertaining as the first season. Personally, my favorite episodes were the standalone ones especially focused on Chain and K.K. It felt like their own stories made me understand their characters better and it's also nice to see other side characters getting their own spotlights too.
The finale was okay, pretty important for Leo since it involved his sister. I didn't feel it was as entertaining as some of the other episodes but still had its moments. 7/10 for the sequel.

Oh whole while I felt the 2nd season was a weaker than S1, I would damned If last two episodes weren't at series best. Ironically it was about the most ordinary (relatively anyway) character in show, but Leo's and his relationship with his sister is all what made compelling. I'm also glad that her fiance turned out to be real and not just mind-controlled puppet. We don't get much of anything on him, but it was enough to avoid that cliche being genuine.
Though on a smaller regret I'm sad that Libra's ever mysterious leader, "Klaus" did not get his own episode, but how this ended it was quite satisfactory and very much in the show's spirit. |

While I did like the focus on each individual member of Libra, the lack of an over arching story line did make the series feel like it lost something to me. It's also too bad that Klaus didn't get an episode to himself. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy this season though. It's just that the Black and White story line made it feel like we were going somewhere.
That said, these last two episodes were some of the best the series has to offer. The focus on Leo's bond with his sister, his growth, and the bonds he made since coming to the city really made for an compelling arc. The animation and music certainly didn't hurt. I'm also glad they avoided the whole evil fiance twist. That would have been predictable and trite.
