Something like that. It doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

Sunrise is trolling hard and pretends this will be the true end of the Gintama anime.

I guess when you made many lie they can become true...

Arthur already have many ending from many fake movies and fake endings...
(Benizakura movie become true but it used to be just a lie the used to toll us...)

I'm sure the moving being the end of the Gintama anime is just a troll -despite the Gintama move twitter insisting "this is not a final arc scam"- and that it will come back later, probably next year. They have no reason to end it as long as it's still popular and selling well.

When it returns they'll probably slap a "Z" or something into the title and say: See? Gintama ended! Now it's Gintama Z!

In the meantime, we still have the manga, whose latest chapters are really... interesting

Which ones are you thinking of? These flashbacks were all from the previous season as far as I can tell.

Oh I thought the moment we see the three of them hugging each other was from the 'recent' new year money chapter (382 to be exact).
I guess the combination of getting old and following Gintama for a long time means that all the stories are starting to overlap.

From all the way back in episode 50...

They were talking how they should add something to the title to make it seem like it's ending and then just start over. They are 100% trolling with this movie.

Shinpachi and Gin heart-to-heart was nice.
It was nice seeing Shinpachi's brave side for a change.
This was a pretty touching episode, not many laughs in this one.
Well, I guess that concludes this story.

Well okay, I'm never sure when it comes to such a thing with Gintama. They get me every time, and every time I'm smiling like an idiot I swear.

I didn't think the title would be something from back then. I really want to start re-watching the show now.

Gin and the others were having Obi-one problems. Poor Shinpachi, it was kinda sad watching him realize his bro is not the same as before. Gin vs Obi-one was cool to watch. Nice to see Shinpachi take the forefront. Obi-one's death was tragic, but Tae and Shinpachi will keep on smiling. And eating macadamia nuts. The dojo isn't going to get revived anytime soon, is it...? I'm happy we're getting the Sadaharu episode next week. It has a really hilarious scene. __________________
