It was a really great episode and Ange showed off why she is one of my favorites (Number two, directly after Jessica) but
whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, Deen! Why did you cut Kanon and Jessica's love confessions, whyyyyyyy? I mean they could have cut it to the core point but complete cutting it? Damnit, I kinda knew that would happen but hope dies last, right?

I know this is kind of silly to ask now, but.... Are Bern and Lambdadelta real witches while Beato is just a chess piece for Lambdadelta?

eh not really. but it is a fact that:
- Lambda threatens Beato (but surely doesn't control her)
- Beato is often reffered to as a "fake witch" in this ep (whatever it means)
- who is a witch only because of Lambda, or so she claims.
so i guess you could put it like that, depending on how you interpret it?

All three of them are indeed witches, but in Beatrice's case, i'd say that while she's not a chess piece like those on the game board, it would definitely seem like she's under the thumb of Lambadelta to purely be used by her in her love/hate? rivalry with Bernkastel.

And given Beatrice's worried reaction to Lambadelta's threat of stripping away her powers, that would definitely indicate that there credence to what she claims is indeed true about providing Beato with her magical abilities.

Except 1:20's not the best point for comparison. 3:30 is a better comparison, although I think they might have left that part out.

It's up to your interpretation but it's not necessarily everything. Maybe the troll only started after Virgilia suggested the North Wind and Sun strategy.
