One Piece - Chapter 905 [manga]
Welcome to the weekly manga discussion thread for One Piece.
Thread GuidelineBriefs
Well, we ended up with a surprise break last week, but now we're back on track! Credit goes to Redon and co. over at AP for the info: -Chapter title is "The Beautiful World". Ministory shows Orlumbus in his room, putting away his belongings. -The chapter begins with a look at the new marine HQ, known as New Marineford! It's located at the other side of the Red Line, a location intended to better protect Mariejois. There, fleet admiral Sakazuki talks with T-Bone, who reports that Fujitora has arrived at Mariejois. This angers the fleet admiral, as he previously warned the blind one to not return to the base unless he had the heads of Luffy and Law. He then decides to get in contact with the other new admiral, Ryokugyu (aka Green Bull).... -Meanwhile, we see more monarchs arriving at Mariejois for the Reverie. Among them is the new king of Goa.... Stelly (though the chapter spells his name in English as "Sterry" instead). The mermaid king Neptune and his family arrive, as well. Interestingly, the merfolk are escorted by none other than the vice-admiral, Monkey D. Garp! Upon encountering the marine veteran, Stelly tries to talk him into gaining connections with the world nobles, but the young king is shocked by Garp's rude attitude. -Back to the marines, Fujitora meets up with Ryokugyu, who's partially hidden from us readers. The admirals discuss Vegapunk, who recently finished an amazing new invention. According to Fuji, this new invention will render the Royal Shichibukai obsolete....!!!!! -Back at the Reverie, Stelly sees some crows, which scares him. One of his guards assures him that he'll be alright, though. As it turns out, that guard of Stelly's is none other than Sabo in disguise....!!!! Last edited by marvelB; 2018-05-25 at 03:24. |

Oh, that looks interesting. Attack from inside out? I wonder how Sabo can disguise as his guard? Maybe a quick-swap ones?
This looks interesting through, not only Stelly feared Garp as we know that why Garp was the one escorting the Fishman. I think this will be interesting chapter and arc anyway. Still, i was wondering how Wapol will make his move here since you know that he want to bring Drum Kingdom down, possibly try to make Drum Kingdom his again. Surely enough he can't do anything if Kureha is with him knowing that she's the best doctor on his Kingdom. |

well consider only Mihawk and Kuma that is really "loyal" (even then that is debatable ) to marines, not surprised that they want to abolished Shichibukai. I am actually suprised that they still keep and add new member.

Of all Shichibukai, only Buggy that was not safe enough once the Shichibukai system is abolished. Hancock got natural defenses since her island lies at Calm Belt, Mihawk is the strongest swordsman, Kuma possibly become Vegapunk's Pacifista in completed version, and Weevil will crush Marines that stands in his way.

I've brought this up now and then over the years, but my take on it is that the WG/marines grudgingly tolerated the Shichibukai system purely for the sake of maintaining balance. As unruly as the vast majority of warlords may be, there's no doubt that they have enough power and/or influence for them to be considered a "pillar" (and yes, I'm even counting Buggy here), so in theory it makes sense why the system persisted for as long as it did. But now that the balance in question is being thrown into disarray (thanks in large part to the rise of the Worst Generation), it looks like the time has indeed come to replace that shaky pillar.... |

Translated chapter's out! Man, that Ryokugyu is an oddball.... apparently he's been fasting for three years, lol. And Stelly (or Sterry, whatever floats your boat) is nothing but a sheltered brat, I see. But what I find most curious is that he ascended the throne after the "suspicious" deaths of the previous king and prince. Looks like Sabo's bro became king through some rather shady means.....
Anyway, it was great to see some old marine faces again (not just Garp, but even T-Bone!), and it's nice to see Shirahoshi realize her dream of experiencing the wonders of the surface world. But I have a good feeling that it won't be long before she experiences its ugliness, as well..... |

The fight will break out there since if ones want to make a declaration of war right at the hornet's nest, you need to expect such. Straw Hats also fights CP-9 after declaring war against WG. Since Sabo is on the "Hornet's Nest", fight will be unavoidable.

the fight will be there because Revolutionary Army wanted to topple Celestial Dragon this time
I feel really worried because no Luffy in this bout which means bunch of people might die we got lots of our fave char in there... Vivi, Koala, Sabo, Ivankov, Rebecca, Shirahoshi, etc |

Yeah, I'm not expecting an all-out battle to break out at the Reverie. Sabo clearly said their intention was to declare war, so they'll most likely just make the announcement, then escape. As already mentioned, I think Sabo would be pretty much overwhelmed by all the forces present (Garp, Fujitora, Ryokugyu, possibly Kong, etc.)....
Though with that being said, I wonder how many of the top RA officers are at Mariejois right now? We know Betty is back at Kamabakka, but we already at least have confirmation of Sabo, Morley, and Karasu at the Reverie. Could Dragon himself also be lurking somewhere in the holy land....? |

I'm pretty sure Dragon is there too. It makes the most sense for the leader of the Revolutionaries to make the declaration of war himself. Besides, didn't Oda say we'll find out more about the Monkey D. family in this arc? A reunion between father and son would provide the perfect opportunity.
Stelly is a real little shit, on top of most likely being a murderer. Glad Garp treated him with the disrespect he deserves. The different Kings/Queens shown in this chapter were really caricatural, but it was harmless and funny.

Sabo, if smart can gather intelligence from Vivi, Shirahoshi, and Kureha about Straw Hats. He may got excited for what he did at those three Kingdoms.
Still, this is not going to be all-out war though, the problem is there are two admirals on station there and some Vice-Admirals too. Security will be very tight but of course, declaration of war is not that simple. Perhaps like when Sabo announce himself, Revolutionary start to make a "Small assault" on Mariejois to indicate that they are serious. If you remember how Sun Pirates wage war with World Government through Fisher Tiger's rampage, i think this will happen again. For outcome prediction, i will say that Wapol will be targeted next since he can produce Wapometal. Who didn't want such metal that can gain the favor of revolution army? |

Sabo's got to be very careful with this operation. One little mistake before the opportune moment to make their move and the admirals will be unleashed on them. Of course, I don't expect things to go so smoothly for the revos. Shit is going to happen. I'm looking forward to seeing how they're going to pull this off.
