Planetarian
Just noticed that Key posted this on their official site for a Planetarian anime adaptation. While it is close to April 1st, the site itself is real while they did announce for a major announcement this week. Trailer: Official site: http://key.visualarts.gr.jp/product/...ion/index.html

This shouldn't be hard to adapt in all honesty since its a linear plot. In fact I wouldnt mind a kyoani movie from this. Of course thats me wanting something keyXkyoani again lol. I hope this is legit a tv series. And it doesnt have to be 2 cour to work.
Edit: FUCK I FORGOT ABOUT APRIL FOOLS. W.E FUCK THIS. |

Welp. Excuse me while I switch into full fanboy mode.
......... Holy fucking shit! This is the best thing ever! This is one of the biggest things I ever ever wanted to be adapted. This is my favorite, most adored thing ever made by Key (closely followed by Little Busters) and now it's getting an anime? I am so damn HYPED for this. My hype levels are so off the charts, I'm going to need to make some excuses to qualm down that hype just to prevent any possible disappointment (the possibility of this being an sadistic April Fools joke is there after all). Planetarian is the one Key work that would best be suited for an animated adaptation due to its linear storytelling, but I never thought it would actually get one. This is goddamn miracle, it's like the goddess of all that is good and right with the world finally descended from the heavens and smiled to my wishes for Planeterian to be adapted. Edit: It's real, hell yeah! Last edited by Tempester; 2016-04-02 at 09:56. |

Im pretty sure this is a April Fools joke considering its April 1 today.
But if it isn't... FUCK YEA! Assuming it follows the kinetic novel without much deviation (dont see why it would considering the length) this is hands down the best Key based work (and perhaps the only Key work that I actually like aside from sola). Why? Its relatively relatively short, to the point and packs that emotional "key" punch but unlike every other key series doesn't feel cheap or manipulated because theres no magical bullshit going on. Its by far the most restrained of the key series and is completely devoid of retarded airheaded "special" keyblobs that plague every other series. Also devoid of slapstick high school antics in its first half and thus is the one Key series that skips the whole slapstick/silly 1st half half --> melodramatic formula 2nd half. It deosnt mean its super dramatic all the time though. Still plenty of lol and fuzzy/warm moments. Its just that the humour or daaw moments doesnt rely on retarded girls thinking they are being cute but are doimg actually retarded things or high school kids beating each other up cuz its apparently funny. And best of all devoid of jun maedas deus ex machina asspull bullshit because hes wasnt not invovled in the vn. Thematically the closest thing i can compare it to is the minori VN *eden which has the similar post apocalyptic setting going on as well. Anyways if it doesnt turn out to be an April Fools joke this is definitely one of my anticipated things this year. Wtf 2016. Stop being so overpowered. |
