I always saw them as supportive character more than main tbh. Given that a lot of characters always come and go(which I find really good to build an actual personality), this might actually start to happen when some of them start to be expelled(this really need to happen), giving more time for them to actually fell like the story must go on needing them.

Megumi and Erina, to me, are both main heroine material. And the author also said in the Q&A that Erina will be taking more notice of him soon, although I don't really know what that means (I want to know the actual context in which he said it).

The readers were always under the impression there were 2 heroines - Erina & Megumi.

It's understandable why the author would say this, since the heroine = end girl.

Unless they're both end girls, then, there can't be two main heroines, although there can still be more than one heroine (basically, I'm saying that "heroine" and "main heroine" are two different things). The author only said that the identity of the main heroine is a mystery.

Edit: Also, all of the Moderators here are basically anti-Erina, aren't they? If so, how can Fwarlord be a troll just because he's also anti-Erina?

I don't understand the Erina hate either, she's barely had any screen-time at all. While I agree that what she did in the beginning was pretty serious (namely ruining a person's life on a whim), I think it was intended to be a joke, the author just played it out wrong. Plus she's come a long way since then imo, she's really not a bitch character, Soma just pushes her buttons.

Some of the Erina fans are seriously trying to flame bait right now, this is going in a familiar pattern where, where someone has a negative and justified image of a character, and hordes of knights come in to burst him down and cry injustice at the mods.

Btw saying alot of the haters are biased is a double edged sword and even hypocritical, as Erina pandering/free passes is starting to emanate from the last few posts.

This a fine line between stating opposing personal opinions and just outright flinging accusations at various people. Some of you do realize your subtly telling the mods to delete his post right?

Yep. I won't say that people don't have the right to hate whatever character they want to hate, but there does exist such a thing as "unreasonable hate". And I think the Erina hate is just that - unreasonable. I mean, yeah, sure, she can be a bitch sometimes, but it's not like she does it without a reason. And it was said that the Nakiri family does what Erina tried to do to the Don RS all the time. It's not just her. [The Tootsuki Headmaster was called the "Don of the Gourmet World," remember?]

And yeah, Souma pushes her buttons, so of course she'd treat him the way she does. But apparently she's going to take notice of him some way in the future. It doesn't have to be romantic, though.

Jouichirou said that Souma needs to find a woman whom he'd be willing to cook all the greatest food in the world for, to cook even better food, and I'm pretty sure it meant that it has to be a woman he has romantic feelings for. As in, he has to find a woman to fall in love with.

Your statements conflict with what your accusations are leading to, since your claiming pro-Erina posts are being deleted by mods, but not pro-megumi posts, which is quite the accusation.

By stating why fwarlords post is still here but Erina posts are gone, means your implying for his post deserve deletion.

I don't really dwell in Erina debates since all that was needed to be said have been said ages ago, only thing left would be repeating the same things.

Maybe you meant for something else but stated it wrong, but that's just the the impression i get form reading .

Best thing to do is not fall for the bait, that comes from an Erina fan. Hate will exist, some might not share it, but its not like you have to care.

The problem here is that Megumi in general have more screentime in the manga as oppose to Erina. This would lead to readers favoring her more because her character is more develop. We get to see her improve, not just with her cooking skills but also her personality. She went from a failure to an Honored Autumn Election. Erina on the other hand gave the readers a bad first impression the first time she was introduce and a lot of readers did not like her attitude. Her character is not well develop. Unlike Megumi who continued to grow alongside Souma Erina came off as this perfect chef who is already at the pinnacle of her culinary art. And what's worst is that she knows she's at the top of the food chain and tends to look down on lowly cooks. The manga hinted that she may have a troubled past but for now we don't really know much of her character.

@Sasoras: I didn't mean to imply anything about the pro-Megumi people. I was only going off of the assumption that pro-Erina posts seem to get deleted on here.

I also never meant to sound like I want Fwarlord's posts to be deleted, so I'm sorry if I gave off that impression.

And yeah, I admit that Erina's a real jerk to most "low-bred" chefs and looks down on them. I hope that that part of her can change soon. But I don't really like or hate her. I'm neutral.

Latest chapter is so...... normal. It's not even exciting and I would expect Souma to lose but at least get out of the red, but he won, in such a non-flashy way.
