The "battle" between Anzu and Hina was pretty funny. I like how easily Nitta managed to coerce Hina into going along with it with food. She really loves that dish.

Hitomi has already found her future career. She's a natural at bartending, apparently. And as a side note, Utako is indeed super hot.

Give the poor guy a break. He already has enough trouble handling Hina alone. He's going to end up broke at this rate.

I do hope Anzu will find somebody nice that will take her in. She's a nice girl, all things considered.

You'd think an advanced transporter would be able to take a drop in the lake, but alas it can't. Hopefully Anzu finds a nice home soon. The thought of Nitta taking her in is nice, but he has his hands full with Hina.

It looks like Hitomi found a future career. She'll even have an interesting story as to how she found her hidden talent.

Today I had lunch at the very popular Daikokuya Ramen in LA's Little Tokyo, and had to laugh when I saw Ikura Bowl on the menu. Didn't try it, though.

I laughed way to hard at the second half, good mix of over the top situational humor mixed with dead pan

I don't expected this series will got animation this good.
I like this when it was manga a lot, it's one of the best comedy out the there.
But it still just comedy that not famous, so I thought it would get low or average animation at best.

I just want to says this without much spoiler.
Spoiler for For some character devolopment, low level spoiler:

Hina still need learn normal sensibilities, so of course she will suck until she learn more manners. With Nitta being far from perfect parental figure it might takes a while.

I just watched the first two episodes on a whim, and OH BOY. Did they NOT disappoint.

This thing has the potential to be great unless it takes a swerve into edge and dark for no reason.

Episode 3 is great! A balanced amount of comedy and drama.

Personally, I like Yuzu's segment the best as it shows the reality of being homeless and how she must adapt to survive. I got a bit emotional from seeing that. The other segment with the bartender is more with humor although I think we'll likely see more of that in the future.

As expected, the facial expressions in this show is spot on:

The first part was kind of dramatic considering the series' tone but part 2 and 3 were hilarious. Hitomi's situation was hilarious and I especially love the short but strong "NAANNIII?!"

Bartender:The Next Generation...

...in which Hitomi has the Glass of the Gods

I suspect few if any will get my reference to a relatively obscure 12 year old show, but it was the first thing I thought of in this scene.

Anzu and Hitomi are both such good girls. Hina is trying, but the least we can say is that she has a lot of progress to make.

Anzu was lucky to be found by such a nice old man. It's a hard life she's living, but at least she isn't alone.

I wasn't expecting Utako to blackmail Hitomi into working for her, and even less that Hitomi would have prepared a counter. Unfortunately for Hitomi, Utako is cunning. Well, at least she's making a lot of money, doing something she's good at, and is loved by her customers. And Dop, I do remember the Bartender anime. It was actually a pretty nice show.

Hitomi was clever to prepare a countermeasure against Utako, but unfortunately it failed. She at least didn't get a bad deal out of it. She's popular with the customers, learning how to hone her hidden talent, and she's making money.

Yuzu has adopted a hard life style, but at least she's learning from it.
