I think the character I like the most is the one who has only had 1, maybe 2 lines; Shiro's friend Meiko. Meiko is the one character with the highest emotional IQ out of the entire cast, by far

So far, my ranking of the main girls as follows:

1) Momo
2) Shiro
3) Kuro

Momo is forthright with her feelings, and she worked hard towards that goal by actually learning his deceased mom's cooking. Now that is dedication.

Shiro might have been upset by the past, but she was true to her feelings at the end.

Kuro, on the hand, is one type that I absolutely dislike. She was good to be supportive at first, but to reject the person you actually like is just so wrong on so many levels. Not only that, she sort of expected him to continue to like her afterwards.

Well, let's see where this all leads, but Momo right now appears to be the best of the bunch.

Oh, and I am not as upset at Maru because he was true to his feelings through all of this. He is still an idiot, but he didn't follow through with any deception. He was honest with how he felt through the end, like an open book.

I like Kuro but she did screw herself over and make Haru (and herself to a certain extent) an object of ridicule for how she handled it.

But at least she realized she screwed up. I'm not sure where this "amnesia" is going or how she plans to handle Haru moving forward, but hopefully she can build things up back to Best Girl status...

And I haven't heard the "would you like dinner? A bath? Or...me?" line in a while, so points to Maria on that front .

I'm honestly completely backwards on that. Momo is the one that strikes me as the most dangerous. She may look innocent but there was serious venom in her words toward the other girls. She strikes me as much more skilled, sneaky and manipulative than the other two.

As for Kuro, I really didn't get any impression that she "expected" him to still like her. She wanted him to still like her, and she couldn't get rid of her jealousy that easily, so when another girl shows up and deliberately hits her where it hurts the most, she'd naturally be a bit upset and particularly offended at the idea that the boy she loves would go after someone else immediately after being rejected. In particular, look at the way she acted afterward. She regrets her actions with all her heart, knows she screwed up big time and may have ruined any chance of being with him, but hates that idea, and even more the awkwardness they currently have. This isn't some presumptuous girl who thinks she can expect him to come running to her any time no matter what she does, it's a girl who gave in to her spite at just the wrong moment and realizes all too well how much she hurt him and how much she wrecked their relationship.

Well, she is a trained actress .

Although all the main girls are sniping at each other. Kachi and Kuro blame each other for what happened and definitely aren't friends.

But yeah, I don't think Kuro is expecting Haru to still like her after what happened, she just doesn't quite know what to do to repair their relationship after what she did (other than amnesia I guess). Although now she knows Haru feels like what happened is his fault to some degree, so that's got to sting.

I'd agree, though there's a couple things I'd add:

1) Momo might still be hiding something, but I'm not going to hold it against her unless/until such a thing is revealed.

2) If she is as pure as she seems, she probably won't win, thanks anime.

I would say Shiro deserves to win but I'm not sure if he deserves her

We get to meet the rest of the "colorful sisters" and Maria immediately tries to ingratiate herself into the rest of Haru's childhood friend family. She's so manipulative, but it's actually kind of cute .

So we've got the tomboy Midori-chan, but she's pretty well developed figure-wise, which Haru is happy to notice .

It seems pretty calculated that Kuroha forgot everything after she confessed to Haru and got rejected, which basically set all this up, but whether her amnesia is real or not it seems genuine that she wants to start over with Haru and build their relationship back up. But like Akane figured, he's still dealing with the trauma of her reaction and that subsequently going viral, and recoils around her .

Kachi now has the excuse of spending more time with Su-chan by taking him to school herself to avoid the paparazzi, not that Kuroha is going to leave them alone like that. I think it's going to be a long time before these two would ever consider being friends, Haru .

So is Kuroha over her phobia of octopus wiener's because of the amnesia or because the guy she loves was feeding her? Like, you could tell she wanted to be fed but was closing her mouth because part of her didn't want to actually eat it, but she still went through with it .

I guess Kachi can't leave them Haru and Kuroha alone either when she hijacks a camera to spy on them together. Tetsuhiko then reveals it because he will throw anyone under the bus when it suits him :P.

So is our cast destined to become YouTubers? Or WeTubers? I guess that would be a solid thing to keep these high school kids involved in both the hijinks of high school and the enetertainment industry while keeping all the romcom antics going with having Haru, Kuro, and Kachi together in something. Maybe Maria will join in too ?

Maria was apparently very standoffish and abrasive towards others, but still quite calculating, before she met Haru who brought out the "nice" side of her and what she can use for her acting. It seems like Haru's acting is the only thing she really loves about him, though .

That producer seemed shady from the get-go, even if Haru was buttering him up at the beginning. Money seems like a great incentive to go back into the industry, although Haru's thoughts immediately go towards getting Rena to do something pervy when he can pay her enough, which none of the girls appreciate. Dominatrix Maria looks pretty hot thought !

Although while money is important, the people you care about are even more important, and that producer went way too far when he insulted Kuroha in front of Haru. Don't mess with his childhood friend/potential girlfriend like that .

I seem to have noticed a trend. The more submissive and borderline masochistic a girl seems, the more likely she is to be a sadist, while the ones that are harsh and domineering and quick to try and hurt others become submissive and masochistic when pressured. Honestly the dominatrix Momo didn't look all that appealing to me. At least in part because the proportions seemed off (her left hip just doesn't look right).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure myself that Kuroha remembers everything. It wouldn't be terribly surprising for her to mentally block out the painful time from when she was turned down and started wanting to hurt him to when she actually hurt him, but it also makes sense for her to want to erase it deliberately with fake amnesia. And no, I don't think the wiener test is that accurate. It's been years, and if she wants to fool him then it'd be no surprise for her to bear with it.

MC still sucks but pouring out a bottle of wine on the skeevy producer's head was a smooth move. Pretty sure Kuro got one over on him puckering on the 'say ahh' moment... no way that amnesia isn't fake.

The series is still kind of interesting but no one is particularly likeable so I guess I'll see how long I last.

...Oh, this anime apparently thinks the protagonist's assault on the producer is justified. Well, at least something was funny this episode.

I assumed it was the artist from the Light Novel.

Even if Tetsuhiko tends to use and mess with his friends, even he can get angry for their sake if someone is screwing with them, although it probably helped that the person doing that turned out to be his dad who he hates .

Kuro said she didn't want them to lie about the wine...but didn't she also say she was the one who poured it on him? So she was planning to say she did it to the police to protect Haru ?

Maria is a master negotiator, managing to kickstart a commercial contest to avoid police involvement and let the president save face while giving Haru a chance to show off his stuff without needing to get involved with that agency. Of course, Maria gave him enough of a handicap that she gets to appear in the opposing commercial herself .

We find out Maria's backstory of how her older sister basically gave up everything and ran away from home with her to protect her, and Maria went into acting to lighten the financial load. She didn't really enjoy herself or get into it until Haru got involved and inspired her to give acting her all, and he became a precious companion to her. It's actually a surprisingly sweet and wholesome backstory .

I really want to see the gag reel for that Ultramarine intro video, because we have Haru sliding himself on a table and all of them jumping into the air and a I refuse to believe they were able to pull that off on the first take .

Their initial commercial was pretty basic, if fitting for a teen video, but then they go for a really dark, edgy, music video and that gets everyone's attention .

Oh, Abe. I had completely forgotten about you .

So it turns out Tetsuhiko has a grudge against his dad and the entertainment industry and part of that drove his becoming friends with Haru and creating his own youtube channel to basically stick it to his dad's company. Kuroha wanted to protect Haru from getting back into the business officially so she faked her amnesia to get Haru involved enough to where he could be in a position to burn his bridges and get involved in what Tetsuhiko wants to do. In case you forgot this is a romcom about revenge and manipulation as much as it is about childhood friends .

That was a pretty cute scene of Kuroha and Haru walking to school together and just having a fun time together, up until Kuroha finally lets it slip she was faking her amnesia the whole time. Sorry Haru, she's a mischievous one. But she's also super cute .

Kuro continues to show how manipulative she is, so she is not winning any points to get us back to liking her any better. Meanwhile, Maria shows how she can be very intelligent and resourceful to help everyone out of a bad situation. She really is turning out to the best one in the show right now.

And it's not like Kuroha's manipulations are really doing her any favors, and unlike the other girls at this point Maria is pretty direct about what she wants.

"Us"? Speak for yourself. While she did a lot of machinations it was to a large extent for Haru's sake, and I for one liked it overall. And Maria on the other hand continues to seem like the real schemer, manipulating, acting and twisting words to get things where she wants them to go.

I think probably most people would have difficulty continuing to trust Kuro at this point, even if she is really cute about it and was only trying to do it for the sake of her and Haru's relationship (in her mind). Like, it's kind of obvious how these two feel about each other and it's at a point where you're thinking "just get together already" like Aoi, but Haru's been burned before and Kuro is just too stubborn even when she knows she's hurting her chances, so they just keep fighting. I guess that's one way to keep the leads from getting together too soon .

Tetsuhiko is fine with helping any of the girls with their plan to nab Haru if it keeps it interesting, and it helps keep the club going because half of the club is scheming to one-up each other and win Haru, so keeping him single and all of them fighting each other for him is what's driving the Ultramarine Alliance as a club .

Maria using her money and influence to transfer into Haru's school without bothering with an exam is very in-character, although how much she wants to be doted on by her sister is really cute too .

So obviously a lot of guys want in on the club just because all the best girls in the school are in it, but it seems like Haru might be popular with a lot of girls too if that's why Maria is so worried about letting more girls in...

I guess I'm not surprised the girls didn't want to be forced into getting filmed in swimsuits for people to watch, although the plan was always to get them into Okinawa and in Kachi's private beach villa, so I hope we still get to see them in swimsuits .

So Rena is Tetsuhiko's half-sister? From what we've seen of his father, fooling around and having more than one illegitimate kid isn't surprising, but it does explain why Tetsuhiko is so protective of her. I wonder if she'll ever find out ?

Aoi is a really nice and sweet girl, and had some good advice for Haru as well as just basically saying what most of the audience is thinking at this point regarding Haru and Kuro's relationship .

Although while Haru still likes Kuro, it seems like he's not as firm with it as he was when he confessed...when you see Kachi in that white dress, I can believe why .

So Kachi wants Haru to confess to her...is she planning on accepting or is she back on the plan to reject him out of spite like before? I mean, I kind of hope not because she saw how badly that ended for Kuro and she obviously still loves Haru, but you never know with the girls in this series .

Eri's sister is priceless as the one adult in the room who won't stop teasing Haru about his love life but also make sure her sister isn't in danger of getting her heart broken. I'm happy to have her there in Okinawa .

So with Kuro bringing her sisters with her at a later date, it looks like it's just Kachi vs Maria in the appealing to Haru contest. Starting with a battle of cooking! Also kind of funny that Kachi thought she didn't have to worry about her lack of cooking skills because she assumed most actress' can't cook .
