In my country, men who can dish out insults as well as a woman are not praised.

We are raised to take their insults like water off a ducks back.

Where we get back at them, is in our smooth and mature actions.

Ergo the phrase Deeds, not words would aptly apply here

Especially to Koyomi.
...Or a nice clean backhand to the face (open fist of course... we aren't savages for heavens sake).

Koyomi's reactions is what makes the dialogue of this show for me. He seems a bit dimwitted when girls are teasing him, and so when he takes light teasing seriously, his reactions seem genuinely serious. Though "seem" might be the wrong word here since they probably are genuine.
i believe what the two make a good couple of humor.hitagi tease to ararararagi and he react of a form what other males character never make.is a like how reactionary nozomu itoshiki but without so much knowledge and despair.

All I know about her is that she's a cute, pastry loving vampire. All I know about the story is from the anime.
Don't know if I can ask this or not, but is there any place I can read the novels in English by chance?

You offend me good sir, I'm a man and I certainly can verbally torture and abuse people better than most women.

In short, I'd say your statement is a big pile of mysoginistic and ignorant shit. But shit would sue me for dragging it down to the level of your post.

Baka-Tsuki group just begins to translate the novel. Starting with Kizumonogatari or Koyomi Vamp. It's the prequel of Bakemonogatari. It currently has two chapters translated.

^ Sweet, thanks for the link.

You guys ever find yourself watching any episode more than once? So far I've watched this episode three times and got something new, or maybe something I've missed, out of it each time.

I think the reason people are all talking about Senjougahara is because we know her backstory in detail and are watching how she overcomes it and continues to move on with life. With Araragi, we so far only know that he had an encounter with a vampire and got it fixed in his past, and basically just accepts things and takes em as they come. Perhaps if we knew more backstory to him, then there'd be a lot more discussion about him

then again, it doesn't help that the majority are envying him and simply admiring how he's slowly putting more women he encounters into his harem (well, sorta)..

... and it doesn't help that the anime is cutting out tons of the dialogue, which I understand much is from Araragi and his views on all things...

That's not what the post actually says. It was actually a rant on the double standards of 'propriety'.

She isn't evil; in fact, I have no idea where that idea even came from.

But knowing the otaku community, an evil loli would probably have quite the fan following depending on how she's portrayed.

If he really want to build his harem, he must exchange it with pain and blood. That's quite amusing. I'm not sure if he's extremely lucky or extremely misfortune.

I'm actually quite partial to Hanekawa.

She seems to be the most mature out of the bunch, but I sense either a troubled or dark streak lurking underneath.

I hope the anime explores her arc further at some point.

Most of the time!

With some exceptions, like the whole of Endless Eight.

In the case of this show, I have watched every episode at least twice, and some even three times like eps. 6.

I've watched the study group scenes in episode 6 more than five times, and I don't exactly know why

Look at this. I bet he will be dead the second after he starts to think about ecchi stuff. Hitagi will never let him have the chance

I said in my culture dude... not yours.

It is the women that look down on men who can dish it out as well as they can.

I'll watch it all over again in a couple months after it finishes airing. I only have so much time on my hands... but its enough to watch all of this anime and read a ton of manga.
