Unfortunately for us english speaking audiences.. the game has never been localized(translated) so we arent able to actually read/play it.

have not played it, but i too am eagerly awaiting the upcoming movie!

It's a shame that I haven't played it, but most of my sources rave about it and say it's better than Kanon...but they also warned that extensive Japanese knowledge is required for the "past" portion of the game, so... good luck.

Chaotic Reign has been working on a translation patch, but that is put on hold indefinitely for the time being: http://odin.prohosting.com/creign/Air/
And yes, you will need your very own (legal) copy of the PC game to be able to use his patch. He has translated enough for you to go through Misuzu's scenario in the Dream (1st section) part of the game. As for my opinion of the game, I have to say that the story and music is one of the most beautiful things I have enjoyed in a long time. Despite people labeling it as an 'h-game', its main focus is not on sex or anything of the sort. In fact, I played through the entire Dreamcast version of the game, which has all the questionable scenes (not many) removed and I found it very enjoyable.

Well why aren't you picking up the slack and translating it?

I keep considering buying AIR. It can be had pretty cheap on YJ. But with the translation project dropped, there wouldn't be much point.

I did buy Kanon since that translation project is still ongoing. Woohoo.

I think both games should be Oh Text compatible, so even if you don't know Japanese it should be possible to view some bits of the story. I haven't tried it out yet but I am planning to try it.
