But yeah, I get that it was the "make up" but still. Really not used to it (and I'm not sure those two are close to the manga art imho. They just looked a bit off in that scene).

I mean, I'm really happy with all the projects surrounding my #1 series, but is it such a big property in Japan that they just keep throwing money at it? Maybe it's just one rich person that decided the world needed more ARIA. In which case I saw more power to them.

https://www.amazon.com/Aria-Masterpi...5056515&sr=8-1 The whole manga series was recently republished as Aria the Masterpiece by Tokyopop https://imgur.com/a/RVT5p7C Here's my collection. Also a good reminder I need to dust it.

Has Tokyopop's new edition got past the point where they stopped last time? Their original printing got up to volume 6, which if the 'Masterpiece' editions are two volumes, would take it up to volume 3.
I bought the ADV edition. I bought the old Tokyopop editions. I don't want to just buy the same stuff for a third time unless I know they're going to finish! To get on topic, I'm looking forward to when I can see this. Wondering if Benedizone is going to be another movie or a whole series? Suspect the former, would be thrilled by the latter. |

So according to ANN the new release consists of 7 two-in-one omnibus books with the first volume consisting of the two first volumes of Aqua. That looks about right given that the manga has 14 volumes in total (aqua + aria). [link]
With that said I suddenly feel my wallet very light

Yup. Vol 7's final pages from ARIA the masterpiece has
Spoiler for ARIAs ending. Do I need to spoiler tag this?:
And yeah, this, together with the kickstarter a couple years back to release the whole Anime series fully English dubbed, together with all the new projects in Japan makes me very hopeful, yet confused about ARIA's future. I thought it was a very niche series but apparently enough people like it that we keep getting anime projects years after the fact? Yay!?

Well, if it means Aria the Benedizione gets made, I'm for it. Aria is one of the titles that has stood the test of time. Diminishing returns hasn't hit it either. In a world where almost anything drawn out that long gets tainted, it gives me something to believe in to see Aria endure.
