is this similar to Hakai Me no Yuuri as far as character development? or is it played off as comedy?

Yes, there are a lot more comedic moments than in Yuuri. The author is very obviously influenced by the author of "Goshuujin-sama to Elf-san", and even the illustration of Fio was a gift from that author. Though unlike Goshujin-sama, the TS mc isn't a slave and she actually romantically fall in love with the hero, so in that sense it is closer to Yuuri.

I feel kind of tempted to read this novel as it seems interesting, but I can't make myself read TS stuff. It just feels too much as yaoi to me. And also feel a bit apprehensive towards rape scenes fully from the victims perspective, feels a bit depressing. I guess I am strange (or too much normal for this forum

Yea even though some can marry at 16, you have to get parents permission and i'd say like 99.9% of parents are going to call the police the moment you ask for it.
