I finished this series too recently, good that they released all DVD's before the second season.
Shana was one of those series I truly enjoyed watching, from beginning to end.

They intend to do so just to build up the hype to the second season, I think.

And, because of that, I can't wait for Shakugan no Shana Second. (Just Like Hecate). Please give more, more and more of Shakugan no Shana.

I just finished the series too. What an awesome anime. Watched it in two days.

Action combined with drama is always good. lookin forward to season 2.

It's been confirmed to start airing on October 4th at 25:25, which translates to October 5th at 01:25. The thread for season two is here.

The first ending song is "Yowake Umare Kuru Shoujo"/"Yoake Umarekuru Shoujo", by Takahashi Youko. Second ending is Aka no Seijaku by Youko Ishida.

Just finished watching this series and wow the concepts are soo similar to Bleach but its so much better. The story is far from concluded in the first season and soon they will be a second ^_^. The fighting was pretty good but it was the character development of Shana which made the series so good for me, there is such drastic changes in her perception and actions by the end of the series. Lol because I like Shana so much, thats probably why I hate Kazumi, I hope she gets killed off in the next season

. She was just irritating all the way through and I hope Yuji doesn't fancy her like he seemed to be letting on because him and Shana are a so much better couple!

Why is Yoshida so irritiating? In my opinion, she did anything she could to win Yuji's heart and continued to love him even though she knew he is "dead". It is nothing wrong. Yah, I believe most of us including myself would like to see Yuji and Shana to be together, but it is really up to Yuji to decide which girl he prefers most.

lol, if I have to be fair, I would agree with you as well. But I also favor Shana too much that I find her irritating, as well. =P

Alastor sure looks weird, like almost evil. Notice he has wings too--must be where Shana get's hers.

So when exactly is Shana due to air in English? I want to watch it and see what Shana and Alaster's voice sound like...it'll probably be interesting to say the least. Oh boy I hope they contract 4kids...that would be the best lol!

Well, I don't think it'll ever air on TV or anything (except maybe "On Demand"), but the whole series is already released on DVD. Personally, I thought they sounded not too bad -- you can't really replace the Japanese voices, of course, but it still worked.
