Pretty darn overcast, but just clear enough to see patches of it (get to see the moon once every five to ten minutes, like a slide show). Fascinating. First time I've ever seen a total lunar eclipse. It used to be a bleach white moon, but now it's a really dim orange. Too bad my camera isn't working...
Edit: Is Saturn the one roughly at 8 o'clock to the moon? About five moon-diameters to the lower left. Can't see Regulus, though.

From my end I have a clear view of Saturn, Regulus, and the reddish Moon. It's almost over now. Can't believe I have to wait for another two years to see another total eclipse...
(Did anyone notice that Saturn and Regulus's position is making up a triangle when they're right beside the Moon?) |

Oh man...today has made me so happy that my Dad had the foresight to buy me a telescope some years back...
Who cares if he doesn't like anime...this totally made up for it!

Well, the totality is over now. For those who were not able to see it because of a crappy weather or because it was in the middle of the day, I wish I could feel your regret.
This eclipse was my first well-observed eclipse in my life. I'll be sure to looking at the one two years from now, and the partial Solar Eclipse from Quebec next year (because I can't afford to go all the way to Siberia to see the total eclipse). |

I just got back from my last voyage outside to watch the Eclipse. I went out and came back a few times during the beginning Partial Eclipse, and I was out most of the time during the 1 hour of the Total Eclipse. It was awesome, and it looked just like Mars at one point, with Brownish red and orange. Just came back from my final glance at its status, looks like the light's coming back, and the moon seems to have a very dim yet noticeable red light around it. I guess it's because of the penumbra. Anyways, IT WAS SICK~! Now, onto the next SOLAR Eclipse~!
