As a warning to everyone that reads this, there's a lot of misinformation and even fanfictions out there on the big wide internet. So when you read about Code Geass sequels on the internet, take 99% of what you read with a grain of salt.

If new information is announced, it's gonna end up here on the FRONT PAGE within 48 hours max.

Only things that have a trusted source added should be taken into consideration.
If there's no article added then don't trust it. If it is wiki, don't trust it cause even I can edit the wiki page and add false info
Also if there is actual news, this is one of the first places that will be spammed with it, together with 2ch

Hey Stardrago,
I certainly would love to see a remake of either Code Geass R2 or both seasons. There is just so much more to Code Geass than what we got. This series has a lot of potential. It's just too bad that Season Two was all screwed up, as a result of the creators being forced to rewrite their story to a different mainstream younger audience.

According to ANN Bandai Ent. Has licensed 2 new manga to be released May 2010. Entitled 'Code Geass Lelouch of The Rebellion Knights' and 'Code Geass Lelouch of The Rebellion Queens'. Their both anthologies one (Knights) is aimed at the female fans as it features the CG guys. And (Queens) is for the guys as it features the ladies.

Isn't that the artbook anthology? Or is it something else? Either way, perhaps I'll see about picking up the Queen version.

Buying Queens

Kallen > Shirley > Kaguya = Win. Kashirlulu...!

I may very well buy Knights, if it has Rai in it. I'm not picky, long as it has either Lelouch or a girl I actually like kissing him, I don't see the problem.

Two anthologies? That was actually something I weren't expecting. Are the anthologies liable to be translated? If not, then it doesn't matter. I'm getting Queens first and foremost. (My post will cut off, as i'm going to Merchandise to rave about it.)

On topic: Whata re the exact release dates within March? Or are they vague to torture us, or is it to see when they can get them done in May?

Still, a chance of them getting translated isn't a bad thing to hope for. Regardless... I have alot of stuff on my list. I'm still intent on the new series they are releasing (anime, to be precise)

Other then that, nothing else lol

so another manga but this time one for male fans (queens) & another female fans (kinghts) geez any guess fanservice & etc on it?

yea IF they put Y-female in queens maybe anime version on the works?!

really it seem geass is now doing paraeel worlds but with same characters.

This is old news, it was already known that the Queens and Knights would be licensed the only question was, when.
Also this is not news that belongs in this thread, Queens and Knights is not a new project it is licensing news that would fit better in either the general manga thread or merchandise since it is merchandise news

Also the article said IIRC that this was a part of the new Code Geass Project!

Those comics have been created...years ago.

There are even a few volumes of each, destined either to guy or to girls.
It's VERY old news. I read some myself and it's mostly fangirlz/fanboyz meterial so nothing to really drool about. And it's not part of the new CG project since well...it's old.
Those are simply some kinds of doujinshis. Plenty of doujins.

The news is about licensing, but the those manga anthologies were published like... a year ago? You can easily find them on the net(the scans I mean)

Yeah, that manga is actually older than R2. I don't know how old it is exactly but the cover-scan from the second volume of "Queens" has been sitting on my harddrive since february 10 2008. We've been enjoying scans from those magazines for years. =)

So, the only news are that they've been licensed by Bandai. It has nothing to do with the new project and the article never spoke of Queens and Knights as parts of the new project. The new project is the Code Geass: Shikkoku no Renya manga which was referenced in the end of the ANN article.

They've been around since 1986 with the magazine "Protoculture Addicts."
Keep in mind that they were started by Robotech-fans who are Canadian.
That's a bad combination by anyone's measure.

It isn't really a lie, those books were first only released in Asia and not in English
Like always we fall behind when it comes to merchandise releases, the books are now merely licensed that is all
There's nothing new when it comes to licensing.. the books have been around for years and will now be released in English in at least Canada and probably the US also
ANN isn't lying it is merely giving us this news. However ever since CG started airing and the first season was licensed people expected the Knights and Queens to follow swiftly, just like the manga series we all knew it would happen but it surely gave us a very long wait. Still waiting for the novels also lol but that isn't going to happen I think..

Now back to the new manga project, further discussion of this shouldn't be here, best place for that is the manga general thread

I'm kinda hoping that they will animate Nightmare of Nunally since they said visual works I just hope its not a visual novel only cause it would mean another cool CG game that will never be released in the U.S.
