It has happened. They have made a moe manga where the main character is a cockroach. It's a comedy slice of life 4koma, so it's not incredibly deep or complex, but the premise and character design are cute and not something you see everyday.

All I have to say is that if cockroaches were actually that cute, they would already rule the world.

To me, this series is interesting for two reasons.
1: It has cute cockroaches doing cute things.
2: It's interesting from a more "academic" point of view as well. Reading this is sort of like exploring the frontiers of moe. I mean, I never thought I would see a scene where the main character is getting sprayed with insecticide and go "Awww, that's cute."

Kinda reminds me of Chokotto Hime, which btw is like insanely moe. If you like this should def check out Chokotto Hime.

Um... my default method for handling adult cockroaches is to... run from them like a baby.

Muri, muri, muri, muri... the thought of cockroach innards smeared across my heel is enough to send shivers down my spine. Please think of my feelings!

I've had this on my Wish List for a while. It looks very adorable so I'll probably be checking it out soon.
