Looks like the airing of both Shokugeki no Souma and Koufuku Graffiti have started to show its influence.
The flat colors suggest that it's probably gonna be a series of shorts, possibly animated in Flash.

A premise is out with a promo:

Quote:
An anime about high school girls who have mastered the art of cooking simple, B-class dishes called JK meshi. The three girls — Reina, Ryōka, and Ruriko — are all classmates in their second year of high school. They often get distracted when studying for tests, and when they do, they cook JK meshi. The anime will show how to cook these dishes by showing common ingredients, and simple, easy-to-copy steps so that viewers can also try making the dishes.

The first episode is out...and it was pretty bad as far as an anime BUT as far as a recipe show, I'm already hooked on this. The first episode had a recipe for:

Spoiler:

And it looks delicious. Will try cooking this and post pics when I get a chance.

Not really my thing...the simplistic animation style gets in the way, too. Dropped for now, I think....

This felt like a commercial (especially considering the generic animation) except that it served as a recipe for how to include tomatoes in miso soup. I admit I feel like trying it out now. The rest of the episode felt kind of pointless but I assume the kick was supposed to be Ruriko's ignorance towards history. To be honest that part was completely forgettable so... let's see what we get for the next episodes. I do like the food part.

LOL, it's another "miniature cooking show" this time, featuring high school girls.

I kinda like it, it's a good watch, especially since it's a anime short, they're meant to be simple most of the times.
