It was a good try Holo but Mizuki was just too strong. I was hoping Yumi would do better, though. I thought Sawako would do a bit better against Saki but it wasn't meant to be.

Nodoka will have tough competition from Yoshinoya-sensei but I think Nodoka can pull off a win. D03 is one of the weakest four packs in the tournament. Wilhelmina is pretty weak but she has a good chance to win if she doesn't ket sniped by Komori Kiri or Tsumuhana Isuzu.

"Tsundere" is still an evolving word, so it's meaning is still kind of nebulous. Though I personally like to consider tsundere to require an inner conflict between affection and being too proud to show or admit that affection. Holo acts tsundere for fun, much like Senjougahara@Bakemonogatari. This would also be known as being a tease.

Holo has a desperate need for companionship which she hasn't reconciled with her solitary place in the world. It's an interestingly child-like trait for a "great wisewolf Horo-sama" to have, and she's got a pretty intense hot-cold thing going between her desire to live and love in the moment and her fear of her eventual return to solitude, which is not unlike the tsundere hot-cold thing between affection and pride. It's a dichotomy which I find pretty moe.

As for votes today, it really is pretty ho-hum. I don't care about the C-block, and for D-block I'll just vote for whoever has the best chance of beating Wilhelmina. She's the only character I actually dislike in the whole competition (don't hate on me for being a hater, haters).

None of them really has a chance though. Only Wilhelmina got to the tourney via the first set of prelims. The other three got in via the second set. You're all but likely going to have to wait 'til the next round to dispose of her.

I think she had some slight tsundere traits. I don't think I would call her a full blown tsundere, but she would occasionally show a little tsun. Anyway, Nodoka and Wilhelmina have sizable leads in their matches. I guess Nodoka got a nice little boost from ep 20 coming out on match day

So we have two interesting matches today after the underwhelming ones. Koromo is not automatic in the Block D match, but I think she can handle it. It will be close though.

As for Block C, it's hard to see Hayate losing this one, since they've been through splits before, and handled it well. Much to my chagrin, Sakuya has to be sacrificed here.

Maria has been getting too many easy first round matches lately. Meanwhile, Koromo needs to keep her guard up. Nozomi is no slouch. If she was in almost any other matchup, I'd pencil her in for the second round already.
