Looks like they need a one day break with the Hina/Mafuyu match upcoming. This will be an interesting matchup. Too bad they put Mafuyu and Chise in the same match, but Hinagiku gets my support and prediction here.

Nice comeback by Iwasawa. For a long time it looked like Nino had the match but she just couldn't hold on for the entire match. Rima is lucky Maho was in the match. Kanbara really started to close in on her as the match came to a close. If Maho didn't hold Kanbara back a bit, Rima probably wouldn't have been able to hang on.

Thank god that someone who actually is moe (Rima) won the group instead of the certainly not unlikeable Kanbara who with the exception of wahaha has nothing particularly moe about her. At least Ikeda has cat ears.

Hurray for Iwasawa

Will vote for Himeko tomorrow for undisclosed reasons (though Aoi might win from even bigger series mojo). not getting involved in the alt match, I'll just watch with my popcorn.

I don't think series mojo means what you think it is.

Or are you somehow implying that K-On mojo is somehow weaker than Working!! mojo?

Didn't have time to follow Saimoe recently due to school, but now that I do have time, the tournament takes a break.

Collective votes/results for the past few days (if I could've voted):

Spoiler for Votes:
5-3 (19-24 total in picks):
- 8/25: Yuki \o/, though I guess it was no contest from the start.
- 8/26: FYEAH Tenshi and Yui-nyan; what an intense round. A FNO is in order for Yuki vs Tenshi, but I'll worry about that when it comes.
- 8/27: Nice one, Lisa.
- 8/28: Nino , though an Iwasawa is fine too.

It's not that, I'm thinking that Aoi personality combined with decent series mojo will beat Himeko's lack of personality and insane series mojo.

I don't like that statement honestly... i don't care if Hina, Mafuyu and Chise winning but some Hina supporter is really annoying today...

Actually Hina will suffer hell and Yamada will breeze through her match, as I see it.

Things people would notice if they watched more anime.

It's not an opinion you have to like and perhaps saying "slaughter" is a bit too far, but considering the potential difference in strength between Hinagiku and Mafuyu and Chise, there's nothing really wrong with what Aya Reiko said. Hinagiku likely is on another level compared to the other two and the battle might not be all that close. There's always to possibility for an assassination attempt but who knows if that will happen or not. It doesn't help that it's not immediately obvious whether Mafuyu or Chise is stronger. Deciding which character should be the assassin can't be done until the match starts which delays voters jumping in on the assassination attempt.

Indeed, I know there are a lot of people who mask their opinions as fact, but in the end it's always an opinion that you don't have to care about.

I would assume Mafuyu is the stronger opponent to Hina, and hell yes Hina could lose. Same as any other character really. People should be aware of assassinations by now. I could easily see Mafuyu being as close as Inami or Index was, if not outright winning.

While Best Moe is not always a good indication of things, it does have a map of who was most voted for in any particular country for any given match. Someone (I don't know how many) in Japan is voting in Best Moe and it is interesting to see the preference there verses what you'd think they'd vote for. It generally is quite diffferent than other places what the Japanese consider moe currently verses some of the old guard moe characters with large fanbases still outside Japan.

That is assuming the voter(s) are Japanese and not just American or others that are on business or stationed there (say U.S. Naval personel).

Either way, this will be my general reaction for the match, though my avatar probably works as well.

Spoiler for Chise:

People also annoyed from opinion too but thanks Sphire u make me sane.

I agreed that Hina is strong but to put Hina in other level is too much. I don't know where ur confidence come from TRE, but please at least...

Don't let someone's opinion get to you. It's easy to do in a sensitive competition like this.
