Vote: Mahoro, Rika Predict: Cicily, Hitagi Cicily is the only one of the four who made it through prelim 1, in all theories she should win (but stranger things can happen). 07th E's mojo is practically kaput. Hitagi should be able dispose of the one-time champ.

It seems Kurumi Erika managed to get her revenge on Ranka. Ranka took 12th place in the 6th preliminary. Erika was 13th and was forced to go through second preliminaries. The extra training seemed to pay off since this time Erika was the one who came out on topic. Unsurprisingly, Saki won her match with ease. Kanata got a bit closer than I expected but Saki still had room to spare in her victory.
Votes: Cecily Cambell Furude Rika Prediction: Cecily Cambell Senjougahara Hitagi The first match is essentially between Cecily and Kana. Neither is very strong but they looked a lot better than Sakura and Sangou in the preliminaries. Kana actually directly beat Sakura by a fair bit in preliminary group 3. Although Kana ranked a bit better in her preliminary group, I feel Cecily's preliminary group was a lot strong. I don't think Cecily will have too much trouble winning. The second has Saimoe 2007 champion against one the most promising newcomers this year. Furude Rika actually didn't look too great in the preliminary round. She was in a very tough group but I think she should have done better than a distant 6th place. Hitagi on the other hand was only a single vote away from beating the powerful Sanzin'in Nagi to win her group. It doesn't help Rika that the other Higurashi characters this year haven't looked that great while Bakemonogatari characters have done quite well. I wouldn't count Rika out of the match, but Hitagi is defintely the favorite to win. Kurumi and Mina are also technically in the match, but both characters are quite weak and they shouldn't affect the match very much.

Houjouin Seika gets last... but at least I can say that my vote kept her within five votes of Fate/stay night's Sakura.
I voted Sawako and she gets third. Oh well. Sadly, Kanata finished 2nd - 52 votes behind Saki. I love -Saki-. I play Mahjong because of -Saki-. I pull for Saki to win all of her Mahjong games except against Hisa. Because of Saki, I get really excited when I get Rinshan Kaihou when I play Mahjong. But I just can't seem to get excited enough to vote for Saki. Strange... Today... the busty knight who... eh... what good things can I go say... She knows her swords... umm... She got beat up and rescued twice in on episode... and it happened the first episode! Err... her armor somehow crumbled... Oh... Lisa adores her! Hitagi! She's got a crabby attitude, and expresses her romantic feelings in ways not many can... ...like at the end episode 12... ...Oh, and all those times she complimented Arararagi... maybe I should've voted for Mayoi group B04...
