That is not a Japanese poster, I'm assuming Chinese.
Anyway, I remember that the anime changed things up quite a bit though I don't remember the details much.
In any case, looking forward to this.

The installment was almost just exposition. Second game is when things really get going. Hoping they do it better this time.

Wasn't the itsuwari no kamen anime kinda went off rails during the end? How will they address all those changes?

I don't think the changes really have a material impact. Not quite sure anymore what those changes from the game were but the impact at that time was probably overblown. At the time the Itsuwari no Kamen anime ended, the Futari no Hakuoro game hadn't been released yet.

Yes, they just changed some details, not the plot itself. I was more concerned that they did to much focus on SOL part and not on the action parts. Hope they won't do the same this time.

Also they cut
Spoiler for some plot spoilers:
from the S1 abd just ignored this fact in the S2. so they could retcon anything if needed.

To be fair, to a certain degree Itsuwari no Kamen was a bit of SOL. The story in Futari no Hakuoro though is quite a bit different.

Still there were missions that they mostly cut from the anime. That is why I fear they can underplay the story part again.

oh boy, I didn't expect this one. Had there been new announcement for the game to be reintroduced? I had these games as collections in ps4. Though, to be honest, futaro no hakuoro is indeed different from itsuwari no kamen. But futaro no hakuoro is a disappointment to me because I liked the first game more than the continuation. I just didn't like how it ended.

Didn't know there was a game continuation. So does this mean Kuon will find out Haku's alive, maybe have another chance to get together with him? If so I'm in, though I know the series has a tendency toward at best bittersweet endings.

To the plot overall, the changes don't affect much. However when it comes to
Spoiler for Itsuwari no Kamen changes:

I would really suggest playing both games if you haven't, they are really worth the play and the read as the anime likes to change things

Didn't think this would get another season after how subpar S2 was. Then again Arifureta is getting a S2 despite it's garbage adaptation and displeasure of original creator sooo anything goes I guess

What S2 are you talking about? Itsuwari no Kamen got settled in one go.

Itsuwari no Kamen was season 2, season 1 aired way back in 2006.

That's for sure. It seems like anything can get a sequel and it's totally random. The concept of the previous series was perfectly good and had great potential. But they just bungled it and sucked the life out of watching it. But hey, a new season can lead to a different result. Maybe they'll have a new staff and or studio in charge of this...

I've always wondered if we were going to see the sequel animated- after the way Itsuwari no Kamen anime ended, I immediately checked out spoilers for the game to get the satisfying conclusion. And yeah, Futari goes a lot darker than Itsuwari. I also wonder if they'll animate what I consider to be the two most badass moments in the game:

Spoiler for MAJOR, MAJOR Game spoilers and pseudo-plot twists:
