Maybe it's only me but is Quenser acting like a damn sissy when he is faced with enemy soldiers this Volume? Is this a reboot? He was more composed than this even at volume 1. His mind is going blank way too much.

Also i really hope we get another season of the anime sometime even if only to see "Tit's Village" animated. That dying message still makes me laugh.......

Nah, Quenser is a coward unless properly motivated. 90% of the time he's fighting other soldiers he and Heivia are in a firefight where there's plenty of space between him and the enemies, unlike the melee fights he has gotten involved twice in this chapter. Remember, he's a nerd, he's not goint to be knifing people or judo throwing them like Heivia does.

“The Capistrano family has been male for generations, so a girl like Tia-chan is quite rare. All of her brothers were always fighting over her, so we ended up quite knowledgeable in fighting etiquette. Although I am sure I made a fool of myself in front of professionals like you.”

This just raises more questions, if their father just the one douche in the family that got her into the arranged marriages thing? And why her brothers, despite liking her so much, didn't help her?

Also that Barcelona reference took me completely by surprise.

Well it's a fact that Quenser is strong against objects and Heivia against foot soldiers. The problem is Quenser acting like a damn newbie who has seen battles for the first time.

This is the same guy who faced a PMC leader, an Unstable elite, Night Edge platoon and several objects by himself and he wasn't going blank like this time. Experiences pile up so it felt a bit discomforting to me.

It's the difference in circumstances between those things and this chapter. In those occasions, Quenser is usually not the main target of his enemies. Most of the time the Objects are unaware of his presence and/or focusing on the Baby Magnum. Even when they're not or when he's facing soldiers going directly for him, he usually has time to think a plan and space between him and the enemy to lay a trap or something similar.

With the twins he was momentarily torn between the fact two soldiers were going to attack and kill him and the fact those two soldiers were twin girls who might be really cute. After they land on top of him and shake him off his dazed state he immediately goes back to being his usual smartass pervert self. Same with the soldier he killed, he was caught off-guard by a sudden enemy right after he felt the relief of surviving the fight, realized it was up to him since the others were distracted and was forced to kill the guy using the first thing he found, a chainsaw, which is a messy and gorey kill.

Okay, even if the next illustration didn't spoil it, the triplets are already pretty suspicious just for their dialogue here. It's nice to see Kamachi giving another police character something to do.

Or maybe it Kamachi forgetting some plot in his past vol since he has 5 LN to write and probably can't remember everything ....wait he has editor for that, shouldn't they remind him of any forgotten detail of the character?

Of course the plan fails before it even starts. Apparently Kamachi looked back at Heivia being swung into action by Baby Magnum in vol 12 and asked himself, how can I top that? Good god, Quenser is an insanely lucky idiot.

Well, that's the reveal for those who didn't pick up on the triplet names or their suspicious knowledge on stuff unrelated to charity. Information Alliance is once again doing work behind the scenes, though this time this was prompted by the Faith Organization doing stuff on their territory.

Fortunately, Wraith is there to tell them off for just watching while innocent civilians died, clearly asserting herself as best Martini girl.

Only watched the anime, is there any romance between Quenser and anyone?

There's a couple romcom moments in each volume and Quenser has admited to being interested in Milinda. That's the most romance on his part so far since this isn't a romance series so it's never been the focus of the story.

Spoiler for Ho14C3P1-5:

We start this chapter in the middle with some action, with Baby Magnum fighting an Information Alliance Object, the Nitrogen Mirage, as Quenser and Heivia work to rescue a Capitalist Corporations submarine. Turns out the IA Object was after the submarine since it's carrying the creator of the Martini series, who wants to defect. We're told the origins and secret of the Martini series. Of course, this being the third chapter of a HO novel, this is a threat that could cause all-out war and end the "clean wars" age.

She has one moment with Quenser in vol 4, but she mostly just gives briefings and acts as mission control while having the occasional fanservice scene.

Spoiler for HO14C3P6-11:

Wraith being fond of Quenser and Heivia so soon makes a lot more sense now that we now her backstory with bodyguards. We also have Myonri showing off her versatility by controlling spy robot bugs and infiltrating the IA's flagship, Quenser being Quenser and a reminder of how efficient 1st Gen Objects are against non-Object forces. Incoming Round 2 with the Nitrogen Mirage.

Well, things took a turn for the worse, so Quenser, Heivia, Wraith and the others have to board the IA flagship to stop Piranirie, who's causing more eruptions. Still, we get some cute Wraith scenes. Also, her bodyguard Frank uses something similar to Index's HsPS15's weapon, neat.

And so, the end begins. After 14 volumes, it looks like Kamachi's intent on finishing this.

We finally get a two-parter, with the cliffhanger being the introduction of the largest and most powerful Object ever, the Manhattan 000. All nations are preparing for war, and there are a few references to earlier volumes. Speaking about earlier volumes, Skuld from HO EX is coming back. The Faith Organization must be really desperate to bring a serial killer like her out of her coma.

We might be ending the series soon, it would be hard to top this setup for an ending.
