If I recall correctly, the Rick Dom pilots were the ones who found out that Umon's Ball wasn't the real Gundam, and started attacking Umon.

I love this fan-made video about Amuro vs Domon.
It shows why Domon would win against Amuro in Gundam Fight.

Basically Domon wins because Amuro doesn't know about the rule. You get your head destroyed then you are disqualified.
