Ok, this might be stupid, but had any one consider a non-harem story? No, not the type of "focus on one girl" fic, but a totally no-love work. Serious and giant battle. A lot of political and military. - I am writing this with Gundam and Saint Seiya in mind.

Yes, there have been ideas. But not doing even the tiniest harem bits means writing out pver half the cast or bringing in more male OCs to balance the estrogen. Both of which is not that welcome to fans.

Infinite Stratos: Reversal may count. Teenage!Chifuyu is the POV character, and that means most of the other teenage cast aren't running around to be her lover since they're straight. Its just that all my readers seem adamant on adding romance >.>

^ Can always pattern Ichika after Komui from D.Gray Man. *snickers* slightly though, Komui reached a level of 'affection' that even I would think twice about. I can't imagine Chifuyu acting like that in a million +2 years....

Well, Adult!Ichika has ship tease with Maya, Tabane, Clarissa and Natasha.....except the view/POV almost never goes to him so it matters very little. There is one flashback segment where he's the POV character during Chifuyu's kidnapping.....and he fights a senator Armstrong expy to rescue her.

IS-kun: Don't be silly. A helmet is a helmet. It's not necessary for IS really. I just wear it all the time because people freak out for some reason if I don't. I didn't feel like wearing that hat today so I wore these fashionable clips instead! *refers to two small floating drones resembling hairpins*.

Girl 1: I think you should wear the hyper sensor instead.

IS-kun: but isn't this more fashionable?

Girl 1: It's not really an issue of fashion

Well, I guess that every anime has its own kind of fan! But I still think the above idea is possible. OC is not really a problem, you know? It just that most OC story of IS follow a partern. But if you do something like Tom Clancy, it would be a lot better! And who said war can only be fought by I.S?
Anyway, does anyone know how much the IS community has expanded seen 2011? And they are going to release a figure of Charl (both in uniform and I.S)!

The pattern is a new guy who enter ISA but because he is Male and...

A) Able to pilot an IS,
B) Invent a new machine that rival IS
C) A Super Solider
D) A combination of any two or more of the above
E) All above.

Due to the treaty, War was not fought by IS, it is still fought by men, their wifle and tanks.

Of course that was only on paper.

But in reality.... when it come to war and in desperation, other countries would usually do a "screw the treaty" and use it anyway.

That is what Phantom Task should want but even then, they are being iffy on their set goals. Right now, they are just being trolls.

You make it sound like IS[MW3 style] there because :

a. Phantom Task = Makarov. He is the one who caused the war by killing undercover CIA agent. That agent posed as one of Makarov`s men, btw they killed a lot of civilians in an airport(I`m comparing it). If Phantom Task do it like that, expect lots of blood

b. Manipulated the countries. Well, the sequel of the game contained: The Airport Massacre(Now that`s scary)

^^With those mentioned factors above, I look forward for anyone who can come up with this kind of setup

Without IS, our cast of course would be weak( IS is a damn super weapon) and cannot do anything unless..
