I've read the classic Romance of Three Kingdom chinese books also. The story line in this anime is pretty accurate. I think it's worth checking out for people who wants to know the original classic and wonder why it gets so many adaptation in different kind of literatures.

That's the question, no one has been able to find subs for the Chinese or Japanese dubs yet so we're all in the dark.
