HELL YEAH ITSUWA'S EPIC ACTION SEQUENCE!!
This episode was much, much better than the last one. The animation doesn't look as weird either, and I'm grateful for that. The fights were great and it flowed well, bringing that sense of epicness when everyone came to help save Orsola. ...Also, I can't tell whether reading the pen scene in detail or actually seeing it being animated makes me squeamish more... The original scene in chapter 4 of volume 7: Spoiler for pens:

The very last scene was shocking... But in general, it was a very surprisingly dull episode.
An episode full of action, boring? I didn't expect it... But wow... I thought the animation got better this episode, but during the battle scenes, the mob and movement probably was worse than the worst I've ever seen in Yugioh DM. I mean, at least draw two dots for eyes or something... Maybe borrow one of the many animators from the Railgun OVA... It's only the 4th episode and this? Also, a scene that was supposed to leave an impact was the one where Kugimiya was bullying the Sister, but her voice really lacked any malice or evil to fuel the scene. She did better in her conversation with Touma though....... I guess one good thing about the episode is that Ikamusume-san is standing out for once?

Not a particularly appealing episode. Fighting was weak, and in terms of progression, I learned very little.
The scenes were not a very well animated sight to behold, and didn't invoke any real feeling in my opinion. While I did learn of the purpose of the necklace Orsola now wears, I didn't get anything else to add to the knowledge pool. Tsuchimikado restated what we understood about the whole mess, which was essentially an easier-to-understand version of several episodes. Can't wait till next Friday.

Well, for once, Index do something other than biting Touma's head or eating all of Touma's food...
Good fighting scene, although it would only take a single railgun to wipe out all 200 (if I didn't remember wrong) sisters, but then, what's the fun? Was actually hoping for Kanzaki to join in, I guess not yet (I didn't read the original source, so I don't know what will happen...). Lastly, Agnese (however you spell her name) bullying Orsola reminds me of Taiga. The violent Kugimiya is back, somewhat, too bad not the tsundere part. |

The episode wasn't too bad for me, though I did note that Touma's bandages are on the wrong part of his arm... heck, not even the right part where his arm hit hit by the exploding wheel >.>
Though the bit where Touma breaks open the barrier and walks in was good. |

Notice that it's never the commander that does crazy self-sacrificing moves like that
@Asuras Lol, what else is there to learn? We've already reached the climatic battle scene (Which I agree wasn't as super as I thought, but that's all hindsight)

Actually, there was a very similar scene in a popular manga (which was animated too, but this particular scene didn't get animated, nor the arc it took place in) where the leader bad guy rips out his own ear drum with his fingers to to stop the good guy's attack, with blood gush and all. (not stating the name of said manga/anime to avoid spoiling it)

What kind of different circumstances matter when you're ripping your own eardrum out with your bare hand? That's quite a bit more hardcore than just sticking needles in your ears.

Well, this episode automatically removes index from the Philippine TV scene.
Loved that Index was finally having some good action scenes and being able to fend for herself.
